Minimum viable product

The app does a few useful things — turn on/off, adjust temperature and lighting — but doesn’t allow for some very basic things like setting the sauna to start at a preset time or running for longer than 60 minutes. When it’s chilly outside it can take the sauna nearly an hour to come up to 185F, and to continue to use the sauna you have to power it off and then back on via the app to refresh to 60 minutes. Frustratingly, the app claims to offer these features but they don’t work. I love my sauna and it’s very useful to be able to control it remotely, but this app could be amazing with very little effort and… it isn’t.

Not setup to share access

This is a fine app if you are single. Setting up shared access to a sauna is crazy challenging. Not intuitive. Could be so much better.

Powering off and on is buggy

Submitting a ticket for support has gotten nowhere, but a 1 star review will get a response. This app lets my sauna stay on indefinitely if I reset the timer via the app. After reset it stops counting down and sauna will never auto shut off and will run until manually powered off. Seems hazardous

Holding at 3 stars

Well, the app is very efficient and works pretty well. I don’t understand the timing agent. I should be able to turn the sauna on and let it run as long as I want. I understand that this could go either direction to short or to long but it’s really at my discretion. The sauna takes a while to heat up 60 minutes gently doesn’t give me enough time to get in there while it was warming up sometimes I get distracted and only to find out that the sauna is now cooling itself off again. They should know the sauna will take longer to get to 194° than 60 minutes. I need a on and off setting, I need a on and maybe a 2 hour timer instead of only 60 mins.

Total control

I pretty much use this app to exclusively to control my Finnleo infrared sauna. I customized a few “Tap to Run” buttons that make it very convenient to use. One that I use often is the button that turns all the heaters on but keeps the lights and Bluetooth off. I use this button from anywhere to start heating my sauna, it will be hot and ready in about 30 minutes. I programmed another button to turn the light and Bluetooth on while resetting the timer when I start my sauna session. Also, I sometimes use the schedule feature when I know when I plan to use it. Very happy with the level of control of the app.

Good but could be better

The app works well enough. I’m withholding two stars because there are several obvious features that it lacks

1. Temperature notification: beep or make some type of audible alert when the sauna has reached the target temp. How many times have users turned on the sauna, waited the requisite 40-50 minutes for it to warm up, gotten distracted with a task, only to find the hour has lapsed and its cooling down

2. Duration: since sauna’s take awhile to heat up, setting the duration to X minutes isn’t helpful when that time includes the warm up time. Would be better to have a warm-up period of whatever time is needed, and then the duration is the actual time in sauna

2.4 GHz only, should have been updated during the Obama administration

So if you have a modern router that broadcasts on both 5 GHz and 2.4GHz but for convenience you’ve left it on mixed mode because every other device in your house can pick the proper band, then trying to add a sauna controlled by SaunaLogic is a fool’s errand. You’ll have to change your entire network to have a dedicated 2.4GHz wifi network, then re-pair all of
your other devices to your new network choosing between 2.4 and 5GHz
for each one. I’m sure this product was great in 2006 but today it subtracts any sauna that incorporates it.

Complicated setup

I’ve never used an app with such a complicated setup. Doesn’t pair via Bluetooth. Only uses a specific WiFi setting that requires changing router settings. I have never seen something like this. After an hour I gave up. Will just use the unit control manually.

Newest version requires an account

Need to create an account to use the app. After I did that, none of my previously created automations are available and I have to set up everything as if it was a new sauna.

Horrible horrible horrible

Will not connect by device to my phone despite trying both automatically and manually GARBAGE APP!!

Doesn’t work

This app doesn’t work with Google nest. Don’t bother.

Poor design

Connecting device with iOS is an absolute headache.

Mostly useful

App has some idiosyncrasies. Temp is set in percentages instead of degrees. Lights can’t be dimmed in a schedule. Need multiple scenes to preheat, run, and turn lights and Bluetooth off. Tap-to-run doesn’t work if you just want to run several scenes on a random day because the scenes can only be configured for day the scene was created or specific days. If your scene is configured to run on Tuesdays, but you want to tap to run on Wednesday, nothing will happen, and you will be sad.

Pretty good

The app is pretty good, and does most of the things you would want it to do. One thing that is quite puzzling, you can control the lights and turn them on and off, and change colors by using the app. However, the lights have the capability of going at half power, three-quarter power, or full power, all of which must be implemented from the wall unit. You can’t make those changes from the app. Quite inconvenient, and certainly a disincentive to ever use that feature!

Great concept but…

App connection process doesn’t seem to work. Most modern apps handle Bluetooth connection with ease. With how much money I spent on the sauna you’d think they’d make sure the app used latest Bluetooth connection methods.

Repeated attempts to connect

I have been unable to connect this to my sauna and there’s very little tech help via the Finnleo site. I wanted this feature specifically, so very disappointed. Im not in IT, but consider myself capable.

Solution to every sauna owner’s petpeve

Sauna Logic is a dream if you ever want you sauna ready for you when you want to use it. That’s right, you now have the ability to start your sauna from your phone and control everything! SaunaLogic is a slick interface that is easy to use.

Sign in with Apple Issue

I am unable to create an account using the “Sign In with Apple” option. I tried multiple times on multiple devices running the latest iOS 16.3 and 1.0.2 version of the app.
