Bad tools, weird interface, bad executions
Fidelity does a much better job. Vanguard looks out more for people. Better options exist.

There are so many better alternatives with better benefits and much easier interface to navigate.
With other trading apps like Robinhood ETRADE and Webull there’s no point in investing on Schwab. My order are constantly not filled and Schwab is pretty consistently lags behind their competitors in adoption.
If you want to be stuck in the past and collect your measly 1- 3% that loses every year to inflation than this is the app for you but otherwise get a real investing platform - that is efficient and actually processes orders. Avoid this trash!!!

Extended hours trading limited
Hi, I have been using Schwab mobile app for couple of years now. Let’s be honest, this is not top notch analytical app at your fingertips but most of the basic functions exist. One common problem I have noticed is the extended hours trading limitations. If I select extended hours by themselves, not Day+extended or GTC+extended, they work. But you select day or GTC, they don’t work. It seems the problem is on the buy side only. I hope they fix it soon. I noticed it more than 6 months ago and it hasn’t been addressed in the few updates.

Sep2026 version
Latest update changes the UI of the transaction history and makes it difficult to quickly and easily delineate different transactions. It’s all the same text, color, and layout. Can’t easily tell one transaction from the next.

Delay
There are three things that are occasionally challenging. #1. The delay in being able to place a market price trade often causes a missed opportunity when the stock price rises quickly. #2. The Symbol Lookup doesn’t necessarily respond correctly and displays a completely different symbol than typed and then when I want to return or wipe out the incorrect symbol that I didn’t choose in the first place, the system displays a warning, a request to call an agent, read the policy and a number. ???? That delays placing the trade even further and wipes out any chance of catching the stock price on a sudden upswing. #3. Occasionally when buying a stock, I realize that the original purchase price is being adjusted... always down of course and end the money on something else.what is really strange is that I can check the summary from two separate IPads after the stock market closes and it shows two completely different Personal values. If these issues were corrected, I would give it 5 stars. Until then, I rate it between 3 and 4 stars and that is generous. #4. Why are stock slices retired? That prevents me from investing a portion of my money and I have to wait until I save up to buy the stock I want to purchase. It causes a delay and in the end I spA definite plus is the time it takes to transfer money from and to the account. Very responsive!!! Christiane

Battery drain
Substantial battery drain since last update.
Fine app but needs better tools
Lacking views that help you break down portfolio gains/losses by individual holdings. For instance, if the total-portfolio tab says increase by X%, there is NO way to see what drove that change. You can only see each individual holding’s performance relative to the amount you have in that holding, not to your whole portfolio. You also are very limited on what time scale to observe. Many places in the app are fixed at single-day change. Make it adjustable! This app is held back by a severe lack of analytics to help you understand your portfolio dynamics.

Extremely laggy
Extremely laggy for everything since last update. Have to wait 5 seconds to even open up the app. Not sure what the engineers are smoking
One of the Best Financial Apps
This App makes me a loyal customer. Easy, intuitive and contains most of what I need to access. One request: I would really like to see a list of my stocks across all of my accounts. I can see this feature on the web version and woukd love to see this on the app. Even if it’s only on the iPad app.
Great for vanguard customers, horrible for Schwab customers
I can buy/sell VOO extremely easily, can I setup/modify auto buy on existing swppx, nope.
It speaks volumes about the dev teams as they prioritizes features for vanguard customers rather than their existing customers base.

Unfortunate changes
Schwab changed the app this week and has made it much harder to track account balances over 1 week, month, ytd, etc. Poorly thought out and executed, should be changed back.

My favorite company
I’ve been a customer of Schwab since 1987. They have done an impeccable job. They know about every administrative aspect (how to trade, IRAs, estates, etc.) and if and when you can’t do something online, when you call them you get a real English-speaking person within minutes. Fantastic. I’ve been recommending them for years.

They gave away my money
CAREFUL!! If you don’t use your checking account for a couple years they will give your money to the government. I’m no expert, but this probably should have been made crystal clear when I signed up. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE!!!😡
They throttle you
If you flip between screens, pricing does not stay consistent not in the slightest. You better be careful with these guys. They don’t have to respond to anything.
Sneeze wrong and this thing will sign you out
Nobody is signing into their account at a library and just leaving their phone unlocked unattended. Signing me out when I so much as switch apps is not security.
