Awful app experience

For an application that has a high yearly subscription cost the application reliability and UX/UI is horrendous. I would imagine the team that develops this app would take an application that people depend on to save a life a bit more seriously and have passion. How this was acceptable and shipped in the current state is very sad. I already purchased the subscription sadly. I hope this team takes this feedback and hires a UX designer and backend engineer so all the server errors stop.

Très utiles mais …

C’est une super application pour les épileptiques, même si elle a quand même quelques petits défauts.

1) Elle remplit les anneaux des calories sur l’Apple Watch sans raison.

2) Il arrive qu’elle déclenche une alerte toute seule (mais c’est assez rare).

3) Elle consomme beaucoup plus de batterie sur la montre qu’avant.

4) Le planificateur devrait s’arrêter tout seul au lieu d’envoyer une notification pour qu’on l’arrête manuellement.

5) Elle est très facile à comprendre et à utiliser !

Bien mais pas top

L’application permet de détecter les tremblements avec l’Apple Watch mais les applications « forme » sont enregistrés en activité « entraînement » à fond lorsque l’application est en mode monitoring.

De plus, il ne semble pas possible de mettre l’application en arrière plan sur l’Apple Watch ce qui augmente de façon malencontreuse la probabilité d’appuyer malencontreusement sur le bouton « alerter les aidants ».

Application bonne pour détecter les crises mais honnêtement améliorable.

À propos de l’utilisation en arrière-plan, nous souhaitons clarifier qu’il est effectivement possible de mettre l’application en arrière-plan sur l’Apple Watch. Cela permet de réduire les risques d’appuyer involontairement sur le bouton « alerter les aidants ». Ouvrez l’application « Watch » d’Apple sur votre iPhone. Appuyez ensuite sur « Général ». Puis, appuyez sur « Retour à l’heure ». Trouvez « My Medic Watch » dans la liste des applications et appuyez dessus. Désactivez l’option « Retour à l’app ». Une fois cette opération effectuée, vous devriez voir le cadran de votre montre au lieu de l’application My Medic Watch lorsque l’écran s’allume Merci encore pour votre confiance et votre retour constructif. Downloaded this app and filled in info they required and then no way of progressing or accessing anything on the app. Have deleted!!!

Peace of Mind

We brought an Apple Watch and this app when our teenage son started having tonic clonic seizures whilst sleeping. We have found it highly effective, giving us peace of mind whilst also allowing him privacy and reassurance. The customer service and follow up that comes with it are fabulous. As parents of a teen with epilepsy- this app has been amazing for us!

Only 1 Thing Left To Make This App 5 Stars

I can’t believe how easy to set the app was. Only one thing I could think of that this app needs is some kind of icon on the watch face to start the app instead of having to scroll through the app list.

error encountered in the server

this app the past month or so has shown "error encountered in the server" and doesn't work at all. very frustrating when we pay monthly to use it and it's literally been useless

Not worth it

I have payed for this app for quite a while as my seizures are nocturnal and if I were to have one when sleeping alone, it would be great if someone would be notified. However this app has not picked up on any of my seizures I’ve had. Each time I have been notified by my partner by him waking me after. Not worth paying for and it not working.

Like the Girl Who Cried Wolf

The idea is a great one but it’s too touchy. It goes off all the time and now I’m like the girl who cried wolf. It goes off so much my husband has gotten to where he ignores it, so sometime when I really need help I won’t get it. This thing goes off so much I don’t even notice when it has gone off. I have a job where I move a lot, so sometimes I don’t notice it’s gone off or hear that it’s going off. So, yes, the idea is great but it definitely has problems and can’t and won’t work for a lot of people. I will say it has worked for me too! It has detected a couple of seizures and gone off at the correct time, so it does work, but there are flaws in the system too.

Trop d’alertes intempestives

Application bien sur le fond mais beaucoup trop d’alertes intempestives malgré le durcissement des paramètres . Ces paramètres sont à revoir mais application très rassurantes sitôt qu’elle sera au point

I downloaded this app as I’m going to be reducing my medication after being 13 year’s seizure free and am nervous, but I found the app us very sensitive and thinks I’m having a seizure almost every 2 minutes and wanted me to monitor and notify carers. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity?

Needs improvement

At a start, I had to reply to an Australian text message and was charged an international rate. A confirmation email would have been better and free.

In the trial month, we had 7 alerts that were false, 2 seizures that were not detected and maybe only 1 that was actually detected.

I would suggest a false alarm button where the watch could vibrate and ask for confirmation before actually sending alert, much like Apple Watch fall detection.

And I think user feedback like above would help with data collection and improving app.

We haven’t had a good experience with this app. So needless to say we aren’t subscribing.

Hi - thank you for the feedback. All our Australian customers receive a text msg from an Australian phone number (therefore no fee), so please check this with your service provider. Our apps can be set to have a delay timer for false alarms, with a button to press before notifications are sent to caregivers. The app’s algorithm works with personalised settings, so can be set to detect different types of movements/seizures. This is explained in our user manual sent by email. Peace of Mind

This app gives my wife and I some piece of mind since our oldest daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. She can lead somewhat of a normal life knowing that we are just a push notification away!! The fact that we can have multiple caregivers notified when things go wrong is great being I work in a remote location that doesn’t allow phones. Keep up the great work and thank you for giving my family some normalcy back!!!!!

Not good

First off, it will destroy your battery. Brand new series 7 Apple Watch uses 70-80% in under 12 hours even with the app in the background and not monitoring.

Also the design is just terrible. The alert button which immediately informs your emergency contacts is a big red bar spanning the very bottom of the Home Screen. The result? Hitting alert every time you want to close the app on any phone that uses a swipe up motion to close tabs.

I will state that the only reason I downloaded this app in the first place was to placate family members.

iOS version doesn’t work

My brother has tested this several times and only caretakers with android phones get the alerts. iOS users get nothing. And app usually says his watch is off.

Not happy

We tested the app during the free test period. There were MANY false alarms, but since we know that she has had seizures when stressed out we felt that maybe some of the false alerts may have alerted her to destress before a seizure happened.

Unfortunately though two real seizures were totally missed. We had intended to sit down with her to work through the settings, but didn’t get a chance yet.

Then the subscription kicked in, which I paid for, and now it doesn’t work. Before the subscription both my wife and I would get both app notifications and sms alerts. Then she would indicate that she was OK, which both of us would receive.

After the subscription my wife gets no notifications at all, and I get sms alerts only, getting up to 4 alerts at a time, and despite her indicating that she was OK, I never receive these OK messages.

The app has therefore become useless, and I have wasted more than $200 for nothing. I want my money back.
