Haven’t noticed anything on my credit in regards to this account only, nice for a small savings on the side but no big difference in credit restore
Takes your money!
I started the credit builder at $25 per month. It keeps taking money out. I got up to $100 in, had about $92 last week. Legged in this morning to see a balance of $75. They took $25 out of my account without a reason or permission. I will be requesting ALL of my funds back and closing this scam of a n account.

I paid $35 a month cause I was told I’d get a bigger pay out I paid $805 jus to get back $392 back with no help for my credit I wouldn’t recommend this card to anyone

Not good at saving
I'm so glad to have started my credit building process with SELF! Normally I let money burn through my pocket but the SELF I have one loan I'm paying off for two years and then I get it back in full. It's slowly building my credit. I might start another one to further gg
Self was good until they became Trash
Don’t waste your time with Self. I used Self for a while and made my payments on time. I had one late payment (Due to a new debit card), and they blacklisted me from the borrow option. If your payment is late, you might as well skip it, because you’ll never get an offer again anyway. I give Self the grade of F-.

Great way to improve your credit score
Very pleased at how quickly my score has greatly improved by obtaining prepaid debit card that I pay off any charges I incur each month so I maintain my established prepaid credit limit . Plus another option where I make pre- established-payments each month on time as if paying on a “loan”, which the payment actually goes to an account in my name that I was able to cash out at anytime without hassle .

Estaba muy entusiasmaba con poder registrarme pero, desafortunadamente mi número telefónico al tener código de área de Puerto Rico (que es un territorio de los Estados Unidos) no me lo permite.
Regarding fraud and non service
When I opened a dispute regarding fraud and non-service they really just brushed me off. They ignored all the evidence I submitted when I tried getting answers. They just hung up on me promised a proper investigation and never was done to be honest. I’m at that point where I may just cancel my account and I’ve had them for years. This experience was pretty bad. You can’t count on self to handle such things if you can get a real credit card elsewhere, you’re probably better off getting it from a real bank and not a prepaid bank

Terrible decision
My credit builder I closed because I decided to deal with somewhere else. It says I was supposed to receive my payout within 5-7 business days. Instead it’s still on review. My issue is you can’t make up your own rules as to when someone will receive there funds. Also when im handling business address me by my last name why is it so many businesses thinking it’s ok to call a person by their first name is beyond me. The agent I spoke to seemed like he had an issue with being corrected. I will not be using there services EVER AGAIN.
