Love

This app I love. I really enjoy this app when it works. Sometimes it freezes and won’t let me check out stuff or look at anything. This might be a problem but otherwise this app is one of my favorites😍😍🫰🏼🫰🏼

Needs an update

Definitely needs a dark mode!

Multiple sign ins

I love Sephora and I love the app. It’s pretty easy to use. The only issue. I really have is the multiple sign ins. It signs me in when I open the app. It signs me in when I add things to my list. It signs me in when I remove things from my list. It signs me in when I make a purchase, which is the only time it should sign me in. Then and when updating my personal settings, addresses payment, etc. The other times I find it utterly ridiculous.

Can’t brows kohl’s Sephora

My store is mixed with a kohl’s and they will NOT let me choose it at my store JUST to see if a product is available. Don’t know if this is an app flaw or they just don’t want us having the convenience of shopping at a kohl’s/sephora without going in.
I’m very aware discounts can’t be applied I’m only checking stock. Everyone should have ability to check if something is available.

Terrible Customer Service — Wrong Delivery,

I’m very disappointed with Sephora’s customer service. I placed an order with several high-value items, but my package was delivered to the wrong address. The delivery photo clearly shows a different house, yet Sephora declined to take responsibility or provide a solution.

I feel that my concerns were not taken seriously as a customer. After this experience, I would not recommend ordering high-value items from Sephora.

Inappropriate use of notifications

This app goes against Apple’s policy which states “Never use the Time Sensitive interruption level to send a marketing notification.
People may have agreed to receive marketing notifications from your app, but such a notification must never break through a Focus or scheduled delivery setting.” It’s really a bummer that I need to miss actual important notifications about things like my order status because of your inability to appropriately prioritize marketing notifications

You trying to grift me Sephora?

That smart skin scan is such a dark pattern. You’re going to tear me a new one and then recommend $400 in products? For calling my freckles blemishes? The issues change based on the lighting in the photograph. Insane. Do better.

app and website keeps crashing

error: ur app and website are tweaking

Why does makeup have to kill innocents

Closed my account and deleted apps. I don’t want my mascara to contribute to the deaths of innocents. Horrible.

The worst app and website

Your app and website sucks! I can’t get signed into my old account or create a new one

No longer supporting

I will not support a brand who decides to get involved with a country that thinks it’s ok to murder an entire nationality. You’ve lost my business.

Pls listen to this Sephora

I forgot my password and it’s not working. I put my email in. They’re not sending me a password or anything and anytime I try to create a new account they won’t let me.

Why is Mikayla the first face I see

I almost debated not re- downloading because Mikayla is the first face I saw - you guys shouldn’t have reconsider having someone so controversial as your spokesperson.

Bad first impression but made right

Extremely disappointing first experience ordering through the Sephora app. I placed an order specifically for a 16th birthday gift. When the shipment arrived, Sephora had sent me someone else’s items instead of the products I purchased.

Customer service (via chat) initially offered to reship the missing items, but then told me a reshipment or refund wasn’t possible because of supposed previous returns. I explained that I was a first-time app customer and asked them to identify the previous orders. A supervisor couldn’t even locate the alleged history and ultimately said the matter needed further review.

Now my money is tied up, my daughter’s boyfriend won’t receive his birthday gift on time, and I’m left wondering whether I’ll have to purchase the item again and risk paying twice.

Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company fixes them. Unfortunately, Sephora’s response made an already frustrating situation significantly worse.

Follow up. Updating the star rating. Still disappointed at the mix up and that the gift won’t arrive on time (it arrives a day after the birthday party) but Sephora customer service reached out the following morning with a resolution and reshipment information. I appreciate the prompt customer service response. Thank you.

Why did you get rid of the option to search by brands? Now I get a little frustrated looking for things.

Cheap Data Practices

Sephora’s Purchase History Is Frustratingly Limited

For a company that collects so much customer data through Beauty Insider accounts, online orders, rewards activity, emails, and app usage, it is incredibly frustrating that Sephora only makes about one year of purchase history easily available to customers.

Many beauty products last a long time, and customers often want to look back several years to remember a specific shade, fragrance, skincare product, or gift they purchased. That purchase information belongs to the customer experience just as much as it benefits Sephora’s marketing and analytics.

Limiting access to only a year feels like a cheap data practice: Sephora is perfectly happy to track customers for loyalty and marketing purposes, but apparently cannot provide those same customers with a useful, long-term record of their own purchases.

In 2026, there is no good reason a major retailer with a sophisticated loyalty program cannot provide several years—or ideally the full history—of purchases associated with an account. Other retailers manage to maintain extensive order histories.

If Sephora wants customers to stay loyal and keep everything tied to a Beauty Insider account, then give us something genuinely useful in return: access to our complete purchase history. I am most likely going to refrain from further shopping at Sephora and will take my business elsewhere.

Can’t make purchase

Tired to take advantage of the 8/25 app day m, but after multiple attempts to select items and make a purchase I was unable to because of the app. Images not loading, list of color selections not loading, attempting to purchase and NOT LOADING. I’m more than disappointed. Get it together.
