Awful in-app instructions
I was able to get my hub set up, but not my remote. I follow the instructions-app instructions carefully and the steps continue in an endless loop. They don't offer any support.

Worst app ever.
Impossibly difficult to set a schedule. Would not have purchased these blinds if I knew how difficult this would be. Stay away at all costs. You should be ashamed at yourselves for publishing such a horrific piece of software.
Bad program
I can’t get 2 devices to work. If you add a second device it knocks off the other one. Then I can’t get the blinds added back on when I finally did get back on but knocked wife’s device off line. Disappointing.
So easy to use
I am not super tech savvy but this app is not intimidating at all. I programmed the shades with the help from the retailer and was able to make adjustments myself afterwards. Can’t be happier!

Waste of time
This is the worst app I’ve ever encountered! Does not stay connected to hub, has to be reset or delete the app and start over. Definitely not user friendly, definitely a waste of money and time!! Just going to use the remote for my shades.

Moderate functionality
The app does a decent job, and definitely makes setting some of the items on the motorized shades easier. But it has no easily findable way to add a room or to reassign shades to a room. It has a support link, but that sends you to a pdf link on a non-responsive website.
Missing Key Feature
The app seems to be missing a key feature around automating the shutters based on sunrise and sunset times. The developer’s previous apps have provided this feature but not this one apparently.
Terrible
This app is horrible. First, the documentation is extremely poorly written. Set up is difficult at best. The worst part is that after setting up and connecting to the required hub, the devices connect for a few hours and then gradually lose connection. The dealer and the tech reps at Norman shades have tried unsuccessfully to make it work. Hours have been wasted.

Effortless!
I recently started using the ShadeAuto app for my motorized Norman cellular shades and couldn’t be happier. The app is incredibly easy to use. With just a few taps, I can open and close my shades, set schedules for different times of the day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience.
Hobbled hub
The hub only exposes the bottom rail of TDBU blinds to third party applications (e.g HomeKit) forcing you to use this app instead of being fully integrated into existing home automation systems. Other manufacturers like Hunter Douglas can expose both rails of TDBU blinds as seperate blind controls. Why can’t Norton?
