Forgotten pin… locked out forever

Will not let you log in to change pin number if you forget. So the app is useless to me. Deleting until their AI can figure it out I guess…

Do the creators talk to people who actually work in busy shops?

There are far too many updates changing the way POS works. This is confusing for staff using POS. There are now way too many steps at the end of a sale. It used to be easy but now there are 5 steps from pressing payment type to ending the sale, it should be no more than two…payment type…receipt options. That’s it! They have messed around with discounts and continuously move where options are. You still can’t complete a return without receipt/knowing the order number all of the years on. There are some good points to POS but it’s way over complicated after all of the updates and doesn’t support a busy, fast paced checkout which needs a till system that is quick and efficient. Customer don’t enjoy waiting for us to click through page after page just to end the transaction. We are considering different options in our shop now as it’s become so hard to use. Hoping this gets changed asap before we have to.

We lost money because of this awful app

This app completely let us down during a trade show pop up.
Support offered basically no solutions other than try factory resetting your phone.
Do not rely on this app or shopify buy a card reader and choose a different company.

HORRIBLE UPDATE

Please fix this, the newest update is ruining our in store sales. Every time someone checks out the buttons for cash go away and we had to force close and try and click it fast before the buttons disappear and then we have to force close the app between every purchase because the screen won’t clear and freezes and then doesn’t even give us an option to print a receipt. The new update and recent ones have been a NIGHTMARE. I don’t know how we can continue using Shopify in our brick and mortar if this continues because we can’t take all of this chaos anymore and it is SO SLOW! On top of that the new update for returns and exchanges is the worst! So confusing and impossible to figure out how to do an exchange. Are humans even making these updates?! They make no sense!!

Awful update

What is going on with the POS Shopify app? This update is hiding checkout options when we need customers to pay. Freezing when an order is able to finish so we have to force close the app all day between purchases. Where in the world or how do you do an exchange??? The button says return or exchange but only gives return option. This app has become horrendous lately for our business

Great app!

Great overall experience! Easy and fast to use. The only problem is the receipt is hard to send via email or text to the customer, it is complicated to get the email/number correct. I have not yet used the new version and I hope that that small problem is solved. I totally recommend this app to all small businesses with Shopify! It is a very wonderful experience.

Recent update causing problems

For the second time this year (2026), a poorly optimized update was allowed to go live. Crippling the checkout process; slow non responsive interface, constant app crashes, failed checkouts & exchanges. If you are debating whether or not to use Shopify, avoid at all costs. They are pushing half baked AI imagined software updates onto us, and it will not end anytime soon. Stick to windows based POS systems.

Barcode Scanner Pairing

Pairing a Socket 740 is an exercise of repeated failures

What happened?!

This used to be a great app but now doesn't function properly. I loved the bar code scanner but now it almost never works. Same thing with the card reader it almost never connects causing loss in sales! I've tried using it on multiple devices and it's the same on all of them! I'm seriously considering changing platforms for my buisness.

Jüngstes Beispiel ist, dass man seit dem letzten Update Bargeldentnahmen aus der Kasse nicht mehr mit einer Notiz versehen kann und dadurch die Zuordnung der Quittungen erheblich schwerer macht.

Onboarding nightmare

I thought a washing machine had the worst UX but Shopify is a POS literally. I was trying to help someone receive payments and the app is stuck in the create a pin screen and nothing works. No support, just dead on delivery.

Broken with update

Do NOT install the latest update. It screws up your product library and almost nothing comes up with search. Renders the app unusable

Serious issue

Scanning barcodes resets the app to the lock screen but only if auto lock is turned on.

Meh

The app design is nice, super buggy. Have to constantly close app cause it hangs on trying to search items, at checkout trying to choose form of payment type, or when searching customer name. Huge potential but seems to drop the ball. **update** I did what the developer suggested, still hangs. Now when starting the app it will freeze then I have to force close app. Frustrating cause we have online store front that allows the pos to communicate with our online store . Just would be nice to have the app not freeze every 10-20 min while performing a normal function.
**update** sent bug report, as recommended by app developer. The app is completely updated and it still hangs, the worst part is it will do this during transactions. So we are constantly having to force close and reopen the app, which will work for about an hour before having to do a force close yet again.

POS app can’t save customer info

Idk what us up with this update. Haven’t been able to create new customer profiles without an error message at POS. Super inconvenient and causes so much friction at checkout. Terrible customer experience.

Latest update is very buggy

Latest update is so full of bugs it’s hard to believe it got released. Cart won’t load, certain products don’t show up. Please fix ASAP
