Book scan barcode reading feature broken

Recently the books can barcoding feature on this app cease to function properly. This is the second time in recent memory that this is occurred, both failures have been extremely frustrating. It’s incredible to me that one of the largest companies in the world cannot keep one of its essential pieces of software functioning properly.
