Buggy website
It has taken me almost 2 weeks to make a website because of the constant freezing when I’m trying to edit my store. I have to restart the app at least 4 times when I try to change certain designs on my website. It’s extremely frustrating.

BEWARE - Terrible AI customer service.
I’ve been using Shopify professionally and personally for over a decade. Unfortunately, like many tech companies they have switched their customer service experience to AI chatbots. It’s incredibly difficult to reach a human being for help. And when you finally do, it’s takes days of waiting to get resolutions. They no longer prioritize their customers concerns.
Shopify’s own Bill Pay feature that they offer for their Shopify Balance accounts did not pay my studio rent on time 2 months in a row despite being assured my rent payment would process. The first month they did offer a $50 reimbursement for the inconvenience. The second month this happened (which in my mind is worse because I had already spent hours upon hours dealing with them and their bill pay processing company Melio the first time to get it resolved) They refused to offer me a credit or even a written letter explaining their own failure in paying bills with the money that was in my shopify balance account.
If you are a small business just starting out save yourself the hassle and try Square. I have friends that swear by it. I am so disappointed with Shopify that I’m considering building a whole new Wordpress website just to get as far away from them as I can.

Messing with my money
The app works great for a lot of things but product categories and taxes are not one of them. Shopify overcharged taxes on many items to my customers from the POS and admitted they were wrong. Same problem happened less than 6 months later and support has been silent. No response and poor service and all that after the AI runaround.

WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE THIS APP
Countless hours countless nights i stayed up working on my site to the perfection couldn’t get a sale for like the first 2 months then when i finally start getting sales and getting money coming in they restrict my store and suspend my shopify payments and they hold your money for a year these guys are scammers and i do not recommend this app if you are a new business owner.. why i may say that? You can’t operate a business if all they do is hold your money and it seems like everything you do doesn’t follow they terms this app called shopify is not trustworthy at all i dont see how u can really run a legitimate business off this app without funds being held or they think you dont follow terms and conditions etc i could go on but f this app i do NOT recommend in the year 2026

I recently ended my shopify subscription due to the expensive monthly payments that only made me lose more money than gain more money. I looked back this month to check on an email they sent me and APPARENTLY, they had $27 of MY money still in my account. I tried to transfer it (rightfully so) but then it gave me an error message saying I have to contact support. TURNS OUT, you have to RESUBSCRIBE to get your OWN money back. I was shocked and disgusted by this practice!! This is so corrupt and I don’t know why they allow this. I’m warning you all to be careful with this deceptive app. $27 of my money is now gone forever and I would LOSE money if I even resubscribed (the basic CHEAPEST plan is $39)…

The app is awesome, but I really want to like you know sell stuff, but i’m not allowed to buy anything. My parents will not let me do it even though it’s only one dollar so I just feel like if you can change the app to making it for free selling I know that sounds like a hideous thing to say, but this made me really sad cause I put a lot of like my photos and what I wanna sell and I dreamed of something something but parents said no to pay for it and I just made my day kinda sad and yeah

SMALL BUSINESSES BEWARE
I had been a merchant with Shopify for 8 years. Shopify allowed 302 fraudulent transactions to post to my Shopify Balance account in under 24 hours resulting in thousands of dollars of my legitimate business funds being stolen. I notified Shopify about this breach in their security. Shopify blamed me for their negligence and continues to blatantly lie to its customers about the deceptive and fraudulent business practices Shopify is engaging in. When I still had access to my legitimate business funds, Shopify was okay. After?! So much financial harm forced on my small business and Shopify doesn’t care.

Not mobile friendly
I’ve been working on this thing for well over 12 hours. It’s not easy like they advertise. I think it’s up and running but none of the products are listed with my store, just the drop shipper. No clear fix. The mobile app is very frustrating to use to build anything. I don’t recommend it and I’ll just be using something else. This is too annoying for a “mobile” app.

Great app, love the updates but I still struggle every once in a while to upload photos for new products from mobile device. Otherwise, love the app.
