Works, but needs some work!

We have been using Google ads for about 6 years now. It does work, but it’s almost impossible to set up on your own without help. When We do need help, I can’t ever get ahold of somebody. One other problem is it would be nice for a customer to have to prove that they received services from a company before leaving a review. We have had a few fake reviews that made zero sense and brought our rating down. Some from other countries. It seems that they are from people overseas that try contacting you for money to get the reviews “removed”. They are basically blackmailing companies to get them removed. We would have 5 stars if it wasn’t for the few , fake,1 star reviews. Please find a way to fix this. Thank you.

Does not work as intended

Google penalizes websites and applications that don’t function as designed. Yet, for the past two years Google Ads , especially for Smart Campaigns have been nothing short of a mess. Any action on the app the user is redirected to ads website. From changing the budget to enabling or disabling the ads.
Worse, within the app, a users is asked to for a better experience Manage Your Ads using Google Ads.
Are you serious Google Add team?
In many cases a help screen or settings could cover the action screen without the possibility to access the screen you intend to manage. Even after exiting the app and reloading. A user finds the same problem. Even after a few days, and reloading many times the help screen or settings continue to cover the action screen. The only way out is to manage the add through the website on a desktop device.
Ads on Google is another story. For another day.

Google Ads Has Become More Expensive and Difficult to Manage

I have been using Google Ads for many years, and over the last 2–3 years it has become much more difficult and expensive to manage.

One of my biggest concerns is Target ROAS. Even a small change, for example from 200% to 220% or 240%, can suddenly reduce impressions, spending, traffic, and overall performance significantly. When I lower it again, it can still take time for the campaign to recover.

I also experience a similar problem when changing the daily budget. For example, when I am on vacation I may temporarily lower my budget, or later increase it again. Even relatively small budget changes can sometimes cause the campaign performance to drop dramatically or almost stop running. I do not understand why an established campaign should react this severely to a normal budget adjustment.

Cost per click has also increased substantially—more than double in many cases compared with a few years ago. Increasing the budget does not necessarily solve the problem either, because campaigns can still show “Limited by budget” while clicks remain extremely expensive.

I have spoken with Google Ads specialists by phone, but I still have not received a clear explanation of why Target ROAS or budget changes can affect established campaigns so dramatically.

I understand that competition and advertising costs change over time, but advertisers need much more transparency about automated bidding, Target ROAS, budget changes, learning periods, and how long recovery should realistically take after an adjustment.

Google Ads is still important for my business, but after many years of advertising, I feel the system has become more expensive, less predictable, and much harder to control.

Waste of money

Ive gave this an honest try for well over a year tried everything they tell me to do and all they do is suck as much money out of you as they can while not getting much return

Bad leads

They charge you for Leeds on products or people that you don’t deal with even though it was set up before the service went live if they mention a word or a product that fits your type of company you will get charged for it regardless if you actually do that product. I own a home improvement company and I only deal with residents that own their home. Google sent me a bunch of real estate agents that represent some homeowners that are looking to purchase property but don’t actually own the home and then they charged me for those leads. and would not refund the money.
