Trying Too Hard to be Sleek
Prior to this update, I heavily relied on the ‘how much do I have to spend’ for budgeting. With the new update, it’s more tedious. I have to go through three extra steps to do the exact same thing. In addition, rather than it just saying “-$$$” if I’m over budget, it literally says “$$$$ over budget” …. Why? What a useless change. Is this a petty thing to complain about? Yes. However, the phrase, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” exists for a reason. The coloring system is also… very hard to look at. It’s all very bright, all the time. I just think this update was primarily to make the app more sleep but they went over the top. All the ‘fixes’ were cosmetic and all of my issues, which I never had before, are now cosmetic. It’s disappointing.

Okay but needs improvement
App works okay but needs another update in my opinion. Several times now I have gone into my savings account and done transfers to my checking account. The new checking account balance is always accurate and is reflected right away but the savings account balance never shows correct new balance until after you log out of the app and then back into the app. For an everyday personal user and account holder with this bank I just find it to be a little inconvenient. If this could be improved and revised that would be awesome

Laughable
Garbage app from an increasingly garbage bank. 30+ years of being a customer - back to the days of Talbot Bank (when they were a small hometown bank). Rapid growth and greed destroyed them and the app is a prime example. I have 3 banking apps and this is only bad one. Shore United offers facial recognition, but it hasn’t worked on their app in the last 6 months (constantly disabled despite being on; face ID works fine on every other app). Other banking apps offer immediate notifications re: transactions. Shore United app does not offer any security alert options through the app aside from “Email Me”. All other banking apps offer immediate pop-up notifications. Shore United is behind the times and should offer real time alerts from the app. Instead, they’re more concerned with wanting you to “link external bank accounts” from other financial institutions. They need to focus on improving their technology instead of trying to use customers find out who their competitors are. Real time alerts are a basic security feature. Shore United doesn’t seem concerned about making sure their app even offers the bare minimum.

Shows items in pending status that are not pending
I called the bank today because a deposit I made 2 weeks ago in cash, while showing available, is showing pending on the app both in the list of transactions and in the transaction detail.
They said everything is fine on their end and it is posted… and they have no phone number for me to contact for app support.
So I guess I have to make a complaint here instead of getting a resolution to my issue which is silly.

The app would be even better if you could simply open a savings account linked with your checking through the app instead of having to go into the bank.

I’ve been with shore since 2012 and their online presence has been fantastic. If something isn’t right they have a well trained human to help you. Not a bot.
Love MY bank & APP
The bank is so convenient itself and they really made it so much easier with the online banking option to move money from my accounts as well as Zelle within the app. They have great security features and the bank even personally called me to confirm it was me to approve my online bank setup. I’ve used the app ever since and LOVE it. Not one complaint!

Communication is great, if I have a problem it is promptly resolved. I have been associated with this bank for over 50 years. My mother retired from the Talbot Bank. I have not had any problems with this bank. Keep up the great work.

Transferring Funds
I do not rule out the possibility that it could be simply because of my lack of ability to properly navigate through your app. But I find it difficult to figure out how to transfer money from a different bank into shoreline and vice versa. I’m going to try again to figure it out. I wish the verbiage on your app was a little more clear on how to do that.

On line banking
I love shore united bank. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue I’ve experienced is with the on line banking. More time needs to be allowed on the app. My time usually expires a few times before I’m actually finished.
