Difficult bank
Simmons sucks. They are difficult to deal with & will restrict access to your money very quickly & you’ll have to wait at least a week to get back into it.

Won’t updated info
Won’t update my balance or anything else. Won’t let me log in on the browser either even though I have my log in info saved into my phone. Haven’t even had my business account opened long and want to switch banks already.
Mobile banking app
I love my branch and people there. I loath the mobile banking app! It is frustrating to spend hours to make notes and tags on the mobile banking app and then not be able to access anything farther than 18 months back from the day it is. Then when I gave access to my bookkeeping/ accounting program to download transactions, the notes and tags I created in the mobile banking app are not transferred with it. At times the transaction says “store” for a debit! Like what store??? If you want customers to leave paper statements then give us access to our records without delay of having to request them! I also could not get a csv to download them into the program I bought. Simmons Mobile app is completely Frustrating!!! Ugh

I have banked with Simmons for 20 years. They have excellent customer service. Their Bill Pay system makes keeping up with finances so easy. I would recommend them to anyone.

Error Updating
My only issue with this app is that it’s 50/50 on whether it will update with current details. I’ve had the Simmons app for over 10 years and there’s always been one glaring issue that’s persisted, it take forever to update.
On any given day, the app has about a 50/50 chance or saying “Error Updating” and will often show you account balances from 1 day ago (up to 3 days on rare occasions). This happens so frequently that I’ve actually had to call in to my local bank or rely on ATMs to know my amount.
While I understand it takes time to update transactions, it will literally put an “Error” popup on your screen the ENTIRE time you’re in the app with the option to Cancel or Retry, and neither of them EVER work. This has been happening for years so it would be nice if you just clicked it once, then it went away, and your account will still say updated 1 day ago but you can at least go through transactions.
For extra detail, yes my phone and apps are updated, no this doesn’t happen with any other debit or credit accounts I have elsewhere. Simmons is the only app I use that doesn’t update account status immediately which is pretty odd at this point in time.
