Marking Availability is too complicated
Marking Availability is too complicated for staff. And you have to do week by week, instead of dates. And time off request takes too long to add anything.
Lacking the most basic features
You somehow don’t have the option to sync your schedule with your calendar… I quite liked the POS system but the app has been an absolute downgrade from 7shifts, which we switched from. I don’t think we’d have made the switch if we knew this beforehand.
By far the easiest way to do payroll that I’ve experienced in 35 years owning my costume store.
The square team and the app are excellent I’ve used them for over 5 years.
Blue Notifications Dot Won’t Go Away
I’ve tried everything from updating the app, deleting and reinstalling and seeking support help and the stupid blue dot that says I have a notification won’t go away.

Would love a better option for offline.
I use this as a HVAC service technician. Works well, but because I am out of cell service often I fine myself unable to clock in. I have one of those jobs that is never in the same location or on the same schedule.

Can’t notify staff of open shifts. Staff can’t see appointment bookings via shift app.

I like how mobile the app is. And how is easy to request time off through the app too…. My only problem with it is that you can’t just request a day off…. They require a reason
Not letting me see messages
Have some urgent messages to put in the group chat but this stupid app decides to change their whole layout so now I can’t see any messages. I urgently need to send a message as well so this is a problem. They offer no support for the issue either.
