App barely functions
For months now, I have logged onto the app using my face ID and gotten stuck on a gray screen. Force quitting the app does not resolve the issue. The literal only solution I’ve found is logging in on the Stake website to force the app to log me out so I can actually sign in and use it. But this is a temporary fix because I can log in MAYBE twice after doing this before getting the gray screen again. The bank itself is fine, but it would be nice if I didn’t have to jump through hoops just to check my account balance.

Sucks
The app sucks actually. When you go to login the screen is just blank. Have to uninstall and reinstall. Then you can’t cash out your money the green but that says cashout doesn’t work you can press it a million times and it just doesn’t work. Now the app just closes after the verification code is entered.

Buggy
Please fix the bug where the Home Screen won’t load. I have to use the site to pay my rent as the app won’t work. I’ve tried deleting the app and redownloading and the issue is still present. Blank Home Screen. Happens multiple times throughout the year. iPhone 16 Plus running lates iOS.
Started great, now it’s a disaster
I started using this when I moved into my apartment 2 1/2 years ago. The rewards were great and customer service personal. It’s gone way way way downhill. They keep reducing benefits (used to do things like offer 5% cash back if you use it severs times during the month, 3% on rent plus refund platform fee etc). Then they dropped the platform fee refund. Then it went to only 1% on rent. Then they suddenly didn’t give me anything and when I asked they said my apartment complex changed things and they are giving me a flat $10 for using them to pay rent. My apartment complex did not change anything about their relationship with stake.
I asked when that communication about a change in return policy went out and again they blamed my complex and then just closed the ticket.
Bank account was disconnected so my auto deposit didn’t work and I was scrambling to be able to reconnect to pay rent on time. There are very very very very frequent errors.
I’m sad because when they started they were really great. But now they must have outsourced customer service and are cutting benefits to customers. I wonder how long they will be in business.
Use something else to pay rent.

Not worth it
I haven’t been able to get past the Home Screen without the app crashing in 2 seconds. I’ve deleted and downloaded this app multiple times with the same issue.

The app crashes constantly and you cannot do anything within the app which is frustrating when trying to manage your biggest expense
Horrible
Customer service is very subpar. Basic functionality of the app doesn’t work properly. Hard to navigate. Now it won’t even let me login so I can activate my card.

Love this app i’ve been using it for over a year due to moving into an apartment that recommended it they pay my light bill, you get cash rewards for paying on time . I love it and you can sign up for echeck without being billed an extra fee.
Don’t use this app
What a horrible service. I go to activate my stake card with my birthday and it says it’s invalid and the incompetent customer support team says my birthday doesn’t match what’s on file while I’m looking at the correct birthday information on my profile. What a pain. No apartment complex should partner with this service.

Wont Let You Add Funds
So glitchy. This app is not worth it.
Can’t transfer available funds! App and website are not working!
I am forced to download this to get a credit back for rent and the app in the website are not working properly. I reluctantly tied a bank account to this app and I’ve been trying to transfer my available funds to my checking account but nothing happens… I am not receiving a response from my chat requests and there is no phone number to call for help.

not worth it
After paying my rent with this app for most of the past seven months at my apartments recommendation I give up. The app disconnects from your bank account constantly and sends you a notification about how they do this periodically to blah blah blah but it’s always about a day after I re enter it. I’ve been late on rent while waiting for this app to work. It makes me stressed every month that something is going to go wrong again and I do not have the means to pay from another account when this app becomes a nightmare. The less than $40 I’ve gotten each month for using it is just not worth the constant worrying and fighting with the app. It’s also very buggy, for example I’ll get a notification from the app and instead of a single notification I’ll get six of the same exact notification. Pretty disappointing.

Using this app because of my apartment. My apartments offered 2 months free at move in. But you can only receive the 2 months free if you are using this app. But the scam is that they won’t be giving you your month back unless you hound and hound and jump through hoops. It shouldn’t be that hard if that was the agreement. I contact support over and over and they only have 3 people that do the support. They are all horrible and don’t know what they are doing. Maybe besides Micheal. The contact phone number never works so don’t even bother with that. Just on top of that all the transferring time for my money to get from my bank to stake is sooooooo long I’ve never seen a deposit take so long to get to another account. Most of the time it won’t even deposit into my account before the first and I already received a late rent fee because of this app taking so long. I’ve never been late on rent in 7 years only using this app I was.

Poor customer service
Will not respond to my text or email. Cannot get a verification code
This is a good app
I love using this app for depositing money to pay my rent, plus get cash back rewards for it too. This app is currently having problems and is stuck on the green screed that displays how much cash back you get after you make a debit card purchase. I hope this issue gets resolved soon so I can know the balance on my account. I’m not able to see it because the app is not functioning properly. Other then that it’s a good app. I’m just facing this issue with it right now at this moment.
