I have no subscription when I log into my “account” yet they have continued to charge me and have for years without my knowledge. Do not recommend and they deserve 0 stars.
Use alternatives
I can’t understand why anyone would use this platform over others. It is incredibly hard to see where all of your money is on this app. Having to go through 5 different pages just to see my personal portfolio is insane. Nickel and Dimed over everything. Money takes a week to clear when transferring in, transferring out, placing buy order, placing sell orders. It’s all just nonsensical, like you asked ai to vibe code you an investment platform. I suggest avoiding.

Shady Dealings
Like so many others I have had and enjoyed stash for years (since it was $1) when they raised their rates to $3 I was in too deep already and just let it happen but since raising their rates to $12 without informing me and refusing to refund the stolen money I’m liquidating and taking the tax hit. It’s not worth $12/month for a service more reputable banks do for free. Surely no one will stick around and pay that fee. I assume the company is close to going under and just using this as a last cash grab.
And you can skip the corporate/ AI response about the beautiful opportunity you’re giving all of us to pay for your premium service.

STASH is easy to use. I love the investment & personal finance tutorials. I like STASH’S way of keeping investors informed and engaged. I love the ease of investing on any budget. Also I like the free stocks STASH gives away weekly. STASH is the best.

Stealing my money for 5 years
To start — DO NOT USE THIS APP
I signed up during Covid for automatic deposits.
Every single month I lose money to this company, it is withdrawn from bank account and I am restricted access to withdraw.
I lost access to my two factor authentication phone number, and because of that I cannot log in to the account and am being denied access.
This is the 3rd attempt I’ve made to access my funds in the last 5 years, each time I’m denied the money I’ve deposited because I lost access to phone number.
This is absolutely absurd at this point.

Great App!
Easy to use app, even for a novice like myself. Makes it fun to invest and reduces the intimidating practices of the institutional investors and professional gamblers.
More money, less quality.
When I started it was a good app at good value; beginner friendly and for 2.99 it was a great platform to invest. However now that they’ve consolidated and a plan is $12 it only makes sense if you plan on using all of their account and “future planning” options… in which case you should probably investigate other more serious options for long term portfolio management.
Additionally their new money coach AI is a waste of time. The whole UI also shoves smart portfolio down your throat which isn’t for everyone. No longer a usable platform.
