1 Star Review! Beware of Recurring Charges

⭐ 1-Star Review — BEWARE OF RECURRING CHARGES

Absolutely terrible experience with Stash.

I discovered that Stash had been charging my account continuously since 2018, despite the fact that I haven’t been actively using their services and haven’t been logging into their website or app. That’s years of recurring charges for a service I wasn’t using.

When I contacted customer service and asked for the charges to be reviewed and refunded, Stash offered me a refund for only 3 months—approximately $27. That’s it. After years of taking recurring payments from my account, their solution was essentially to give me $27 and dismiss the rest.

When I pushed back and asked them to investigate the full history of the charges, customer service told me there was nothing they could do. The representative was also extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the conversation. Instead of actually trying to resolve the issue, I was made to feel like I was wasting their time by asking legitimate questions about charges on my own account.

The biggest problem isn’t just the money—it’s the complete lack of accountability. If you’re going to continuously charge someone’s account for years, you should at least have a reasonable process for investigating what happened when the customer disputes those charges.

Check your bank and credit card statements if you’ve ever signed up for Stash. You may want to make sure you’re not still being charged for a service you’re no longer using.

After this experience, I have zero confidence in Stash’s billing practices or customer service. Getting charged for years and then being offered only $27 while being told there’s nothing else they can do is unacceptable to me.

Think twice before giving this company permission to charge your account.

Charging subscription 2+ years after my account was canceled

I signed up my dad for stash and closed his account after some moderate success. Come to find out he’s been charged every single month for 2.5 years for a subscription on an account that didn’t have a subscription when he signed up for it! INSANE

Not worth the fees

Surprised a $12 a month fee from $3 and all the other apps are free. Slowly pulling money app and going elsewhere.
