I’m so happy and blessed to this app.

…..

Keeps taking money after you cancel account

Real deal

I opened an account for my son five years ago. Just putting in a little bit every week and the account count has steadily grown. It’s up 54% as of now. These guys know what they’re doing.

Could not withdraw my own funds after closing account

I closed my Acorns account and requested that my balance be withdrawn to my linked bank account. The funds were never deposited. I followed the process as directed, and the money simply never arrived — no clear explanation, no useful response, and no resolution.

The amount in my case was small, but the principle isn’t: when a customer closes an account and asks for their money back, a financial app should return it promptly and without friction. That didn’t happen here, and looking at other reviews and complaint records, I’m clearly not the only one who has run into withdrawal and account-closure problems.

I can’t recommend an app that makes it this difficult to retrieve your own money. If you use Acorns, keep your own records of every deposit, withdrawal request, and support interaction.

House Down Payment

Acorns made investing approachable and easy! When planning to save money to buy a house, I researched a bunch of different apps and companies but decided on Acorns because of the clear pricing and ease of the app. I am so glad I did! I recently withdrew the money and used it for a down payment on my first home! Thank you Acorns! I will continue to use it to save for the future.
