So this doesn’t let you cast from your phone to the hotel TV, just serves as a remote. But there’s a remote already in the room. There’s no reason for this whatsoever. We need to be able to cast…

People need to stop rating this app based on what they want it to do, and rate it based on its performance relative to what it’s supposed to do.
This app is simply a replacement for your hotel room remote control. It does make it easier to see what channels are available and adjust the volume. It doesn’t offer any other functionality.
In fact I was able to use the app without even being on the hotel Wi-Fi. So that’s actually cool.
All in all it’s a very basic app that has one job and it does what it’s supposed to do very well. Just because it doesn’t do what you think it should do isn’t a reason to rate it poorly.
