Doesn’t go high enough

The amount of zyn pouches I do a day exceeds your maximum number by a lot.

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for flagging this, and sorry the app didn't fit your routine! You're right: the daily pouch count used to cap at 40. We've just raised it to 80 in the latest update, so you should be able to enter your real number now. Wherever you're starting from, the app is built to meet you there. If it works better for you after updating, we'd really appreciate it if you'd consider updating your review. And if anything else feels off, just reach out, we read everything.

Novel way to quit

This app is really helping me quit. The coach is great and I love the games and SOS feature.

Good potential

I was really looking forward to this but it got stuck on "Log you first vape". It would try to move on but then revert back to the "Log your first vape" button page. I tried the "Not now" button that took me to a page to record future motivation/affirmation. Then immediately reverted back to the "Log you first vape" button page again. Again and again. I couldn't get past it. Not only that, but they advertised a 3 day free trial then XX cents daily subscription, but then changed to weekly subscription with no free trial. I'm so confused and disappointed.

Response from developer

Thank you for telling us exactly what happened, and we're really sorry. Getting stuck in a loop on "Log your first vape" is not how Stepdown should work, and the switch from the trial you were shown to a weekly plan was confusing. That's on us. We're about to release a big update, built for vapers in particular. You'll be able to count puffs, pods or disposables, whichever feels natural. You'll be able to fix a log or add one you missed. And you'll see your day at a glance, with a short tip each day. We'd love for you to try it, free, on us. Email us at hi@mnsstudios.com and we'll set you up with free access and let you know the moment the update is live. We think you'll love it.

How do I contact support?

I opted for the 3 day free trial. It said I would get a reminder before the trial is up. I did not, it’s not even the end of the 3rd full day and I’ve been charged a yearly sub. Not cool at all. I want a refund

Need more!

I feel like there needs to be more to this app. Like hourly tracking or time stamping to see if you accomplished going longer in between smokes. And editing! Like what if I accidentally hit the button or forgot to and need to add one? Also, what about “good job” you normally have smoke and didn’t. I like the idea but the app could be more interactive.

Hello! Thoughtful user reviews like this are the best. We have started working on all your suggestions. Once we are done, we will send you an email for you to try the app with all of it's new functions and then would like if you can let us know what you think about them. Thank you!

Help me quit

Stepdown really helped me quit. ive been using it for a month and. a half and am 2 weeks clean.

Monthly progress

A well organized app that allows for smokers to manage their smoking habits as well as recovery methods. Would recommend to friends and family

No Trial?

I am not a fan of the way this app does vapes, so I switched and made it do cigarettes so I could log each “session” but it still talks about pouches. Also, I signed up thinking there was trial and it automatically charged me for the year and now I can’t get it refunded.

Response from developer

We're sorry, and thank you for being so clear about what went wrong. You're right on both counts: tracking a vape didn't fit how people really vape, and the app kept talking about pouches after you switched to cigarettes. Both are fixed in our upcoming update. Vapers will be able to count puffs, pods or disposables, whichever feels natural, and every screen will use the words for what you actually use. You'll also be able to fix a log or add one you missed, and see your day at a glance. On the refund: App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We'd love for you to try the new version, free, and tell us what you think. Email us at hi@mnsstudios.com and we'll set you up.

For recovery and you
