Poor calibration
Every trip driven utilizing this app, no matter the driver or vehicle on my policy, results in numerous “hard brakes” each trip.
As this is the third different insurance company I’ve used such an app, this is the first one that continuously has this problem. I know this is subjective, but I am the farthest apart from a “hard braker.” As a CDL driver for over 15 years, with over a million miles logged, and no infractions in the 26 years of being licensed as a whole, this app/sensitivity requires some severe calibration. This does not simply occur on my phone only, but also on my spouse’s, too. Progerssive snapshot and Plymouth Rock Road Rewards were very accurate.
I don’t know how driving 0.5 miles barely going over 20 mph in my neighborhood results in any hard brakes. I assure you, no squirrels, deer, or children randomly ran in front of my vehicle, nor did I forget to almost stop at a stop sign. I have one vehicle that I bought brand new, and now have 59k miles on it. It still has nearly half the original brake pad depth from the factory. Brakes are not something my vehicles need to replace often….because I’m not hard on my brakes…
Please update and calibrate this app. It’s almost as if it’s purposefully flawed to not provide any discounts to the safe drivers.

First, it is dangerous for driving because it is overly sensitive. For example, you’re approaching a light and want to stop, but you know if you do app will downgrade you for rapid breaking. Or you pull over to use your phone and it downgrades you for using your phone. That’s before considering it tracks you all the time every day, everywhere. If you try to stop it from tracking, it threatens you with raising your insurance rates. avoid

The Atlanta traffic is very high and most of the drivers always drive ten to fifteen miles above the posted speed. Most of the time I drive only on the right most lane to avoid speeding. Sometimes I’ll have to drive little bit faster to avoid slow down the traffic on the right lane.
