Needs work

Why the long press that takes forever? Can we just press once and go? Can you add the ability to stop the commanded actions after? For example, if I turn the hazards and then I want them off after there is no way to do that.
Also, can you add the ability to close/open the windows? That was a nice feature I had in my Polestar.
And we know the app or the connected services is draining my car’s 12 V battery in an abnormal way.
So there are multiple things to fix!

Drains 12v Battery and Poor User Experience

The main issue is that this app frequently causes the 12v battery to die once the car is off, leading to the need for a jump and tow to the dealer. This app essentially makes the car unexpectedly unreliable and there seems to be no official fix in the works, only a service bulletin instructing owners to disconnect from the app, a temporary fix that is just ridiculous. Furthermore I used to use the MySubaru app which was far better in terms of its user experience and reliability.

Toyota needs to take a close look at their programming team

Quite possibly one of the worst vehicle apps ever made. Not only does the digital connected services kill your 12v, digital key, charging status and remote start barely function requiring multiple attempts. Toyota should be ashamed of themselves

Charging status and history had stopped working but seems to be back up. 🤞🏼

Some notifications completely omit the identity of my vehicle although the app clearly identifies it elsewhere in other pages. “Your ____ is charging.”[!] Reinstalling doesn’t help. It all worked OK before the phantom report of an open window preceded the app collapse. Hoping tire pressure readings become available soon. I have upgraded the rating.

EV Routing Planner

I have a Subaru uncharted 2026. I would love to know when the Apple Maps EV routing planner will be supported by the Subaru uncharted app. I know that the Toyota connect app supports the CHR with Apple Maps Ev Route Planner and I’m wondering when Subaru will support the uncharted as it is the same vehicle thanks.

Awful

The app worked for a few months. I haven’t been able to log into my account for about a month. I’ve deleted and redownloaded it, still nothing. Before it completely stopped working, it would no longer pair with my keys. Seriously disappointing and a waste of money

Crashes multiple times a day

I have had the app for 24 hours. Twice on the first day the log-in screen won’t come up and I can’t reset it. The first time, I deleted the app and reinstalled. It worked. Now 4 hours later it’s doing it again. It’s ridiculous to have to reinstall multiple times a fat.

Unstable and buggy

The app is very buggy and unstable. It randomly signs out and when you try to sign back in it doesn’t work.
Delete and reinstall doesn’t work. In the background seems to be connected but doesn’t login to use the function. This needs to be fixed!

Miles behind

This app is miles behind compared the MySubaru app. The options are far limited. Take “climate” for instance, where previously one could set several different presets with all parameters available remotely, this app option is literally only one: temperature. It won’t remote start if the doors are unlocked, which is dumb- why not just have it lock them automatically when remote starting? And like others have said, there is a lag with the charge percentage being current.

Rarely works

I placed all sorts of settings via the app. They rarely stick. And if they do stick, they rarely actually work. For example, I have the echo charging setting on. I have to turn it off regularly to get my car to charge. Despite the setting, it’ll just sit there and not charge. There’s issues connecting. It’s just not a great app. I have to walk out to my car to get it to start charging. For example, there should just be a charge now button on the app. There isn’t one.

Slow to update

It needs to be better at refreshing charging, and vehicle information. Once this issue is fixed, I believe the app will have better rating.

Battery not updating

App needs to be fixed does not give you updated charge when you refresh it
It stays with the same percentage so you will never know where you are at when charging

App after update broken

App is slow to update when charging can’t manually update. Subaru blames their own app causing dead 12v battery. Update true when I wrote this now 07/26 update can’t erase notifications can’t refresh charging stats without restarting app. Are all Toyota apps this bad? Or is this Subaru thing?

Worse again?

I swear, who ever is designing this app must hate users. I’ve used the app for over a year now and every update it gets worse and worse.

Long press from the Home Screen to remote start? GONE.
Being able to remote start the car and leave the app before the sequence is done? GONE.
Somehow making the time it takes to remote start the car longer? GO… Nope, they actually delivered that in the last update.

The fact you have to pay a monthly fee to use basic controls is bad enough, but it’s the way things are heading. Making them worse so it’s easier for you to want to cancel the monthly sub seems like a dumb idea.

PLEASE! Fix the app. These are all things the app used to do or do better.

Thank you,
Every Subaru owner

Fix the DCM Issue Draining the 12v Battery!

App is acceptable, not great, not perfect but acceptable. Hopefully, Toyota/Subaru improves the performances and feature set with time. The fact that they are still updating it is promising.

However, Toyota/Subaru if you’re actually reading this, please address the drain from telematics that leaving people with dead batteries!

Also add in the ability to roll the windows up/down through the app. I should be open the hatch as well too. Both Ford and Hyundai have this… step your game up.

Digital Key Not Downloading

I used to be able to download digital key prior to the update, it no longer works. Just tells me digital key cannot be downloaded.

Passcode required

After the last update, a passcode is required to open the app. This is absurd and creates an unnecessary barrier to using the app. Please remove this requirement.

passable

still has a lot of way to go … features and usability will need to improve

Poorly done and Can brick your car

I would give this app 0 stars. It’s super slow, laggy, and too many things buried in submenus. Can’t even get plug and charge set up because it just keeps failing even when following the instructions to the T. Also why does plug and charge cost extra? Everyone else gives it to you for free and already activated! No annoying setup needed!

Additionally, this app CAN brick your car. If you have an active connected services trial or subscription, it will keep pinging the car, wake it up and run random accessories, resulting in a dead 12V battery. Really poor software from Toyota here and just downright unacceptable that it can do this to a car (yes it’ll brick Toyota/Lexus gas and hybrid cars too)

Please get your best coders on this app ASAP

this app requires an immediate overhaul. It needs your best coders on the task. The app is draining our 12v batteries and if that’s bad enough the app barely does the basic task. Like starting the car or locking doors. You need Anthropic code help or something on the job here.
