Doesn’t work
I had gotten the app, set up my account, submitted documentation, ordered the reader and when it came in , despite multiple attempts on different days with two different cards, payments were declined. Then there is no live support. You get an AI support and resolution can take several business days to arrive via
support on the app.
I will change my rating based on resolution but initially.. if you need it to work as soon as you get it: DO NOT PURCHASE.

Holding my money hostage
I’ve had a positive experience up until today, have chosen to downgrade my phone to a non smart phone. Now I cannot make bank transfers from SumUp to any other account so my money is just stuck there, have been with customer support for two hours and they’ve sent me round in circles , now been told it’s impossible to make a transfer without phone app verification, even though I have the app on my iPad AND they just did a load of other manual verifications to make sure . Agent is unwilling to escalate to manager, so now I’m stuck with money in SumUp unable to move it anywhere. Sucks, will be changing card payment provider

Poor
The tap to pay on my phone wouldn’t work. The support team that called me came up as unauthorised by the company, so I didn’t feel I could tell them anything.
Then the app wouldn’t let me log back in. When I selected a password reset, it did not send me one.
I gave up. Next day I bought a SumUp card reader and set up a new account with my other email. I go to verify my passport using my iPad and the app glitches repeatedly. For a utility that claims it is easy and user friendly I have found it anything but. Awful.
