I’ve used every major POS and Sumup is the worst to use so far, very hard and clunky to operate and doesn’t support customisable options which doesn’t make sense. You cannot even change the order of items in checkout making taking payment awkward
Avoid can ruin your business
Held a genuine transaction for no good reason from my client, after days of radio silence I finally received an saying I could not have the money and it will be held for two months. Totally destroyed my business.
Just go with Square
Tried this for a year, have the solo reader. Everything is too buggy and there’s far better POS platforms with more customer support and resources available. I’m on square and it’s been 1 day and i’m already happier with the switch. Waiting on my last payment invoice through sum up and never touching again!!

Appalling
Having been a customer for several years I have now left. There is no customer service, just an endless funnel that is no help whatsoever. Emailed them, phoned them, used the chat bot, used an online agent who disappeared mid chat after I had found all the information she asked for. Customer service should be anything but difficult. What a fiasco.
