Terrible tech support who doesn’t understand technology

I used to love these and recommend them to everyone. Not anymore. All 3 feeders stopped working and I got stuck talking to a tech support guy who clearly doesn’t understand technology. Buy Petlibro instead.

I have 3 Connect feeders. One for each cat. The scales aren’t perfect and I’ve always had small issues from time to time. Annoying for the price, but they got the job done. All of a sudden yesterday, all 3 of my feeders stopped working. None of them will open when the cats try to eat. Tried resetting them, but that didn’t actually reset them. Tried deleting one to re-add the feeder, it won’t connect to the hub even though it’s online. Called support for help, and after repeating the issue several times, I was told that the sensors on all 3 feeders stopped working. All at the same time. The chances of that happening are so rare. When I asked how that explains why the 3rd one won’t connect to the hub I was told the same sensors for the microchips send signals to the hub. That’s not how it works but the guy refused to believe me. Whatever issues is happening is software, but I was basically told all 3 feeders went faulty at the exact same time and they couldn’t help me. My units are less than 4 years old. I guess I’ll just have to manually feed my cats until the new Petlibro feeders release because I’ll be switching companies.

TL:DR - software malfunction happened making 3 feeders stop working. Was blamed on the sensors and told they couldn’t help.

Curfew is Irritating

The curfew facility is really annoying. The start time and end time is reset to the default of 00:00 to 00:02 each time the curfew is changed and applied. Why not remember the time of the last curfew and use that for next time?

Amazing product from an amazing company

I can’t fault the products or the company. The cat flap is so convenient and helps us to know exactly what’s happening at home when we’re not there, it helps us to monitor the cats movements through day and night and we’d be lost without it. Every single time we’ve asked for anything Sure Petcare have gone above and beyond to help. Highly recommended

Software needs a little work

It sometimes does not record the times our animals come in and out accurately and sometimes it misses them entirely. Other than that we love it.

Problems since update

It appears that since the latest update I have lost the ability to update my cats location to inside/outside. Also all ways of locking and changing curfews etc. terrible service.

Cat flap connect app

The function of the cat flap is perfect but to the app developers PLEASE include a dark mode with better contrast. Pale grey writing on a bright white background is nearly impossible for ageing eyes to see.

It’s great

Great being able to know my cats are inside at night or whenever we need. We have two kittens and an older cat. The older one is allowed to go out at night though as it is what he has always been use to. Unfortunately you can’t have specific automated settings for each cat. So our best option is to have it open, then manually lock or unlock for the kittens at night and morning. We have emailed the company and they said we needed the sureflap connect hub, so we got that but that still doesn’t do the programming we require. So there is room for improvement, otherwise we have got use to our current routine

Obsolete Wi-Fi system?

The catflap itself works well, but the communication between the catflap and the ridiculous cat eared hub is poor in our house, even though they are in adjacent rooms and only 10 m apart.

And why does the hub have to be connected to the router by a cable in this day and age? Not everyone has their router near the catflap!

Brilliant

I love this! It sets a curfew and tell me when they go out. Although it doesn’t tell me when they come in; which is rather inconvenient. I am not sure if it’s something I need to set up?

Super usedul

I need to monitor my cats water intake due to a medical condition and Felaqua is super helpful. I used to have a water fountain that was good in terms of moving the water which encourages cats to drink but did not like the fact that it is just circulating the same water that gets slimy (full of saliva). Fealqua is supplying fresh water from the bottle thatbis upside down and cats love it. And it measures the amount drunk by mililitre. It also sends you reminders to change the water. It is a brilliant product and the app works seamlessly.

Works ok

Disappointed there’s no widget. Would be good to see at a glance which cats are in and which are out.

Can’t create an account, clock change messed with curfew

It was hard to get past the set-password screen to create an account, it doesn’t scroll properly so the keyboard obscures the password.

App can't handle clock changes. We just had a daylight savings transition to BST. The catflap curfew times were changed and moved an hour forward. So where it was 7am it moved to 8am. Might be a new bug, haven't spotted this before.

Great app and products

We’ve got 4 cats with different dietary needs, the sure connect system is ideal. App works well, cats easily adapted to the feeders. All around excellent products.

Get a Better Ux developer

I have many their products but the catflaps is good but has many flaws and room for improvement

The app looks nice but not very intuitive and the UX is terrible can’t find functions easily.

25 hour days

Recent updates appear to have introduced a 25 hour day, with my pet entering at 24:54.

The inability to make unwanted animals “outdoor only” so pets can leave but not re-enter (eg tailgating neighbours cats when the flaps don’t close properly) is something that customer service can add, but not possible via the app. The reverse is possible though!

App stopped working

The app stopped working, cannot use the quick actions menu or make any Catflap adjustments. I have deleted and re downloaded, updated my phone, logged out and in again and still the same.

My cat loves it!

Absolutely amazing my
Cat really loves it the schedule curfew is a game changer definitely worth while getting this

Great until the change of the new UI

difficult to navigate - drops curfew settings and open the cat flap - battery error reported when battery still full - go back to the old UI please - and now it has removed both pets from the cat flap this is a pile of junk

App says flap is offline?

The app is saying the flap is offline and has been for several days, it’s still letting my pets in and out however I can’t update their location on the app/change the curfew etc

Great until the change of the new UI
