Slow and super frustrating for upload
Hello June 2026. Has failed in the middle of an upload and took 9 tries to get a successful upload today. 1 scene. Short. My wifi and internet are working. To be fair, the intervening 11 months were without issues, so there’s that. Now July 2025. Same issues. As the developer has noted, this app was designed for agents, not actors, I suspect the only way we will get better functionality is to get our agents to feedback their clients experiences with the app. April 2025. From an actor’s perspective, this app is consistently frustrating. I have had to make 10 attempts to upload 3 scenes today. I have background refresh on in my app settings for Tagmin, but if you touch the screen wrong, the upload cancels. You certainly cannot click off the app to something else. You have to stay with the app open, which needs an urgent update to fix this. The actor experience of this makes it feel antiquated. I don’t know about the agent interface, but I suspect if it was this slow and unsatisfactory it would have been fixed a long time ago. Come on, Tagmin, just because you’re pretty much the only game in town, not an excuse to be lazy or not update. This has consistently been a problem. Actors uploading tapes are on deadlines, often recording away from home, with dubious wifi connection, under a lot of stress and your app is not supportive of our needs.

Absolutely terrible app, seriously needs redesign. Freezes often, user unfriendly. Why is it the one we are using!
Please for the love of god update and fix
Not sure if it’s just one dude in their garage who made an app and then forgot about it, but considering that it’s used by so many people in the industry- I can’t believe no one has decided to make an identical one with no glitches.
Please can you fix the unending amount of bugs, every time you swipe away from the app the whole thing refreshes. This is the single biggest bug. Then there is uploading, it’s rare that someone is able to upload smoothly their first time round. It glitches and sometimes just freezes. But honestly please just fix the fact that any move away from the app with stop EVERYTHING on it. This includes when you are uploading and your phone screen goes off…BAM you have to start again and that is the sort of problem small apps struggled with in around 2018….

Disappointing to say the least.
The app has always had issues but about 2 years ago, the app just stopped working effectively. I noticed that there seems to never be an update for it and so many problems go unaddressed. When adding Self-Tapes, it freezes for me, around the stage when it asks to stitch together. No matter the choice, it freezes, ultimately ending in the upload button simply not working. These days I have to go direct to the url, and even then, it’s not well set up for a mobile device, which means I often resort to using more kit - a laptop for instance. Upload is consistently slow for some reason, regardless of my WiFi connection or effectiveness. I recently re-downloaded the app and was stunned to find the same bugs and glitches in place, despite me being now on the most up to date iPhone and with a new provider. For an app created to make things easier, it’s really very very poor. It makes uploading much harder, and I always find simply using WeTransfer, Smash or Dropbox, is more simple and definitely much faster. What a disappointment this is, it should be great - it so isn’t.

Absolutely awful app, it is unbelievably frustrating to navigate. It’s honestly as if the developers have never had to use it themselves, because it is so counter intuitive and makes it incredibly difficult to do anything on there.

Awful App
This app has a mind of its own. It’s so annoying that my agency demands that I use this because it crashes when it wants. Uploading videos is so temperamental, sometimes it chooses to just not upload at all. Even if you touch the screen the things crashes and you have to start again. It’s diabolical. Please fix the bugs!

Nothing much to fault really! Easy to use

I downloaded this app to upload selftapes while away and it crashed repeatedly on my phone and iPad, ended up sending WeTransfer, completely pointless 😩
Works perfectly
Does the job. Makes it a hell of a lot easier. Super simple and user friendly.
If it ain’t broke…..
The app worked fine on my ipad before, and now after the most recent update it’s terrible. The experience isn’t smooth at all, it’s clunky and appears to have taken a step back.
Poor since IOS update
Tagmin have updated their app and have amazingly made it retro. By this I mean it is now unusable. Just like dial up!! The app will not get past the screen that informs me that you need to press the + sign to stitch scenes together. The ‘continue’ button freezes. I’ve now deleted the app and instead have added the full website to my home page. Someone at Tagmin HQ doesn’t believe that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!!

Why won’t they fix this
It’s 2021 - so why does it feel like 1991?
There are standard protocols now for how things work and there are lots of tools around to make apps work beautifully. This feels like it’s been programmed in Lotus Notes.

Almost impossible to add event
When adding events. The date drop down menus don’t close. So its almost impossible to move from field to field. Because the drop down menu blocks the other fields you need to fill out. I just give up and go to the desktop version. Not very convenient when you need to update immediately and on the go.

Game changer!
The guys behind tagmin are magnificent. Has made my life easier as an agent and made my clients job of being on top of their calendar etc a doddle!

So quick and easy to use and great to be able to see the calendar - now I’ll stop forgetting to update it!
