THEY DELETED 10+ YEARS MESSAGES WITH NO WARNING AND ARE IGNORING CUSTOMERS
UPDATE
These are some of the meanest, cold-hearted, rudest people I’ve ever done business with. They deleted OVER 10 YEARS HISTORY of text messages and call history with NO warning and NO remorse. They were sending notices to loose your number AFTER ONLY 30 DAYS of no use that all went to my spam folder. NOTHING IN THE NOTICES EVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT ALSO LOOSING ALL YOUR PHONE CALL LOGS AND TEXTS. Since then I have messaged them multiple times to inquire and they sent 1 brief, incomplete cold response to the first message and have BLATANTLY IGNORED every other message for OVER 2 MONTHS. How rude and nasty and mean?????
Genuinely terrible awful people running this business because this kind of disrespectful mistreatment and cold hearted behavior with no remorse seems normalized and like it’s no big deal over there.
How many people have they done this to and then just not care????
Shame on you Talkatone leadership and team. Shame on you.

As of February 2026 they’re now deliberately causing people to be locked out of emails to strong arm buying premium and gave ZERO ADVANCE NOTICE. They just woke up one day and up and decided very basic things like texts from short numbers should cost extra. ??? And they’re claiming it’s an “unknown number” WHICH IS A LIE, because it’s simply a short number NOT unknown. So a ton of people suddenly can’t receive texts like verification codes to get in their email or to know your order is one the way from a store.
They’re nickel and diming people and don’t care if they get you locked out your email with ZERO WARNING OR NOTICE. That is so messed up.
I mean you have to watch a gazillion ads and they’re wanting to charge a very super basic function like a text message as a premium thing by forcing your hand and getting you locked out your email. Not cool. Very shady strategy.

OVER CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD MORE THAN ONCE
This app is FRAUD and they will charge your debit card more than once. Be careful because they’ve did this 3 times when i didn’t make a purchase for a burner phone number! I just reported this problem to apple support. And i will be reporting this matter to the BBB for fraud!! STOP CHARGING MY CARD WHEN I DIDN’T AUTHORIZE THIS APP TO DO SO!! THAT IS FRAID & IT’S HAPPENED TOO MUCH!!

I’ve been enjoying the free version and now I want to subscribe to get rid of the ads and keep my number but payment doesn’t go through via App Store. So sad.

The app works well until it doesn’t … customer service is useless and do not answer until you follow up multiple times and when they answer they give canned responses!
Save your money
It’s horrible. They count your texts in a day so if you text a lot this app will crash everyday! It’s like monitoring a kid you can’t get any videos SMS either. I wish i could rate it a 0 and it also doesn’t say unlimited for people that also has the app it says unlimited sms so that’s also FALSE advertising!!! Wat type of app count your texts by the day so if you over text or can’t talk like if your deaf then you got to wait until your sub renews to get more sms credits. Waste of money

Been using Talkatone for a while now and it’s hands down the best second number app I’ve found. Call quality over WiFi is solid, texts come through reliably, and setup took about 30 seconds. Perfect for keeping my personal number private when signing up for things or dealing with sellers online. No complaints.
