Chat to taskers do not work
It’s been working but the day of a tasker is supposed to come the chat did not load so we couldn’t communicate with the tasker.

Overcharges, hidden minimums and fees buried that aren’t disclosed until they’ve already charged you and zero customer service skills or concern for your experience.

This app charges u 25 dollars as a background check and expects you to jump through hoops yet you can’t see jobs near your area. I felt scammed tbr and they don’t refund the 25 even after filling out all their surveys
Terrible be warned
I have tried to hire 7 different taskers to simply help me move a cabinet and I haven’t gotten a single reply from anyone just cancelations. This app has gone downhill. I used to do task rabbit and would never treat my clients that way. Be warned
Terrible process no accountability
I tried to hire someone for a move. We agreed on a time and then the person kept pushing it back day of the move. 2 hours before, they stopped responding altogether. Extremely stressful since I needed to be out of my apt. There is no accountability on the hired person or taskrabbit. Ended up canceling and luckily finding someone in my neighborhood on Reddit.

40% mark up on local tradesmen
The mark up for an AI run platform on the backs of hard working trades people is astounding. Expected 10-15-20% but 40% is unreal and the actual rates are not advertised. Deleting this app and finding someone though local recommendations.

It’s my first time using the platform and I’ve tried to get four different taskrs to help with my move and either it was a schedule conflict, way more expensive than it initially was listed as or they cancelled. Not reliable at all and extremely frustrating

High charge without completing work
There is a trick all taskers from task rabbit play with customers. They don’t have things to fix and they go out to buy and come to your home to fix and charge you heavily for all the time consumed and most of the times the work doesn’t get completed because of their lack of skill but task rabbit charges you complete fee with extra hours which might sum up to 150$-250$ and you cannot challenge it. Book a local handyman through their websites instead. Appropriate fees/payment and job gets done.

Taskers cancel randomly
They keep cancelling without explanation I cant get any task done will look for another app

The app charges an extra $40 per hour. This is the highest commission among all similar apps.
Terrible support
TaskRabbit’s customer support is incredibly disappointing. A Tasker can cancel literally minutes before a scheduled job, completely disrupting your day, and TaskRabbit provides virtually no meaningful support or accountability.
I had planned my entire day around a scheduled task, only to have it canceled at the last minute. Instead of helping me quickly find a replacement, I was simply told to go back into the app and start the entire booking process over from scratch. No assistance, no priority rebooking, and no consideration for the inconvenience.
When customers are expected to reserve time, prepare their homes, and often rearrange work or family schedules, there should be safeguards against last-minute cancellations. As it stands, all of the burden falls on the customer.
Until TaskRabbit provides real customer support and a reliable process for handling last-minute cancellations, I can’t recommend using the service.

Good service but light theme sears my retinas
The service is good but the app doesn’t have a dark theme, it needs one.

I booked a move for this weekend with two taskers but one (Oleg C) did not show up. He kept saying he was “in traffic” for 2 hours forcing me to cancel the task. However, if you cancel a task you cannot leave a review so my only option was to leave one here.
