TCL App for AC
The last two app updates ruined the ability to even bring the app up on iPhone 17 to control my window AC. This makes me very angry.
How about you fix the problem!
**Update: They recommended I do an uninstall and reinstall. This is a simple fix that I should’ve tried before I wrote the review. It fixed the issue!

Bleh
Tried connecting to the AC through the app but it was unsuccessful. I tried twice but still could not connect. Gave up and uninstalled this app. You would think after 2 years the developer would have made some changes to make it easier to connect. I see why this app gets such a low rating.

You guys should really stop marketing this as a smart appliance. You know you have an issue with these. If I would have read up on this I NEVER would have bought it! Now I’m stuck with a plain old ac unit and I paid extra for smart features. TCL Won’t get anymore money from me.

Latest update broke app
Since the update a day ago, my AC is no longer showing up in the app and it can’t be controlled. It acts like there is a completely different AC I am controlling that doesn’t do anything at all. It was fine before this! Please fix. This is on iPhone 17 with latest iOS updates.
Worked for one day
Worked great for the first day. Now today it shows both AC units as off, my temp has switched to Celsius, and every time I try using the app to adjust the AC units it does nothing. If I exit out and return it shows them back as “turned off” even when they are on and running. App is up to date and has all permissions.

Stopped controlling soundbar??
TCL S55H. Worked the first few times I used the app for soundbar adjustments, now t try he app doesn’t even load. Seems lots of other reviews are the same??!!

Simply doesn’t work despite non stop troubleshooting. Don’t buy TCL
Forcing us to do a tcl account to access features on tv
Do not buy anything from this company as they require to download their app and make an account to use the features of your tv l. Not even the chinese brands does that. Awful.
Garbage
Woke up one day and it simply no longer had my tv listed as a device after 6 months of working, including the previous day. Says it can’t be found. Tried all the online trouble shooting solutions. Useless.
TV Remote is OK
When I first started using the TV Remote, it seemed to do very well. I have two TVs on my Wi-Fi network. Recently the first TV that I added, would not connect to the app for power on power off. However, I could change the inputs, I’m guessing that it is still partially connected through Bluetooth. Solution: I deleting the device from the Home app, I then added it back in and it seems to be working again, for now. I would give this 4 or maybe even 5 stars if I could rely on the device not losing connection with the app. Time will tell.

You can go to Settings - System - Power On & Off - Energy Mode to select the appropriate mode according to your needs. Lots of content and commercials
So I recently purchased a TCL TV and discovered this app on it and thought today, “wonder if it’s available in the Apple App Store?” And sure enough it was. It actually works much better on my iPhone 17 than it does on the TV.
I can’t believe it is actually fre. I can use it without giving up anything and the in app privacy settings are a real win for me.
