Crap!

Worthless app! Fix this now!

Only shows one ticket in party

Bought two tickets. Added tickets to app and it only shows one. There’s no way to get the other ticket in the app. We even used two different emails for the different tickets. But the app only shows the fits ticket purchased. So it’s not useful and we must print the tickets. Glad we didn’t wait until we got to the station to figure that out.

Won’t Even Open

I keep downloading it, but the only thing that comes up is the logo over and over.

Lag time adding destinations. Can’t add tickets to Apple wallet

The app is easy enough to use but there were glitches when booking. I had to repeatedly add my departure and arrival destinations for it to finally show up after my 4th try. Once you finally purchase your ticket, it doesn’t allow you to add your tickets to Apple wallet. When you click “add to Apple wallet” there is a delayed error and then ultimately it doesn’t pop up to let you add it to your wallet. I’m coming from the US and now have to purchase a data plan with my phone carrier to make sure I have access to my ticket. An inconvenience and likely won’t travel again using Thalys in the future.

Needs much improvement

No Face ID option for iPhone. The option to add the ticket to apple wallet does NOT work despite many many tries. It keeps popping up an error. “Oops an error occurred. Please refresh or try at a later time”. No luck. The only benefit of having the app is to “look” at your ticket info!

Doesn’t work

Nothing but error messages. Small, hard to read, error messages that don’t inform you of the issue. Suggests the backend online device isn’t working. Could not to anything (book, lookup my ticket, etc)

Impossible to add a departure station

So much bugs with this app. It is useless since the selection doesn’t memorize the departure station.

One of the worst apps out there

Considering THALYS charges €150 for standard seat, you’d think they’d spend more than €150 on building this garbage app.

Awful App

Doesn’t retain login details nor trip info. When I open the app it demands my login & password even though I’ve selected “stay logged in.” Never has it retained my trip info, demanding confirmation number to display trip details every time. So then, what is the point if app doesn’t offer basic functionality? And whomever is responding to reviews - stop implying user error. Just fix it.

Terrible !!!

I’m speechless. How come a big transportation company like this cannot make a reliable and reputable app ?? I tried to book multiple times and they all didn’t go through. Omg !! It’s frustrating.

Thalys ????

The app has great potential but it doesn’t work correctly. If you buy two tickets at the same time it doesn’t allow you to add the tickets on your trips. The e-tickets on the app are a nightmare, it turns like it is loading the tickets but it doesn’t add it. If you are lucky to load one ticket it won’t allow you to add it to the wallet. I have use Renfe and Rail Europe in the past and I never had these issues. Very disappointed!!!

Extremely buggy, needs option to import tickets to account

Not fully useful

You constantly have to enter your booking reference number or PNR number to retrieve your bookings.

Seems to be useless

Only shows a static photo of a train. I first thought it needs some time to load and the photo is a splash screen, but until now I never got past the photo. It has changed once, though, so now I see a different picture of a train. I forgot about the app (my next THALYS travel is still a few weeks away), but today the app sent me a notification that I have the chance to win something. I checked if it works now, but no, there is still only a picture of a train.

So: not good for train travel or ticket management. Great if you like to stare at images of trains and get the occasional spam notification.

Useless

1 star, only because 0 isn’t an option. Here’s two hints, 1) It should load immediately, not after 15 min or 10 retries. 2) Once loaded, it should know that I already logged in, multiple times. Finally, why do I need a Thalys no. and a separate Thalys Card no? Don’t answer, just fix it. In the meantime I’ll use email for etickets and the website for booking. Seriously, this thing is... choisissez un gros mot préféré.

Terrible app

I downloaded this to store my ticket for a AMS - Paris trip. It logs you out automatically (not sure if it’s time based or when you go to another app) so when the conductor came I had to log back in. Since I didn’t have service , I eventually just got the the .pdf from my inbox. I can’t imagine a more useless app has clearly not been user or bug tested .

Very poor quality

App crashes and freezes a lot. Also when booking on the website you're able to include seat preferences and here you cannot.
Oddly when I put in my dates when the following screen came up, my dates changed without my doing. If I wasn't paying attention it could have derailed (pun intended) my whole trip!

Definitely needs more work Thalys.

Difficult, dumb & annoying

This app has the potential to be quite useful but in its current incarnation its rubbish. Why do I need to sign in EVERY SINGLE TIME? Why do I have to remember a ten digit number so I can log onto thalys card? Why doesn't the app remember? Why do I have to choose my country and language EVERY SINGLE TIME? Either fix this crap or allow me to send the tickets to passbook on the phone so I can access them when I want without having to consistently put in the Sam information over and over again.

Why the need for a permanent Internet connection ?

For sure the developers of this application are not actually traveling the Thalys. The application needs a permanent Internet connection, as it can't store the actual tickets. So if you need to show your ticket to the controller and are out of a connection, well to bad for you. You need to constantly enter your password (it doesn't remember it), there's no Touch ID support, no iPhone 6 resolution support, no iPad support.

Practically useless

You have to be connected to the internet to access your ticket. No internet, no ticket. This put me in a bad situation on the train when the controller asked to see my ticket in the train as I had no access to the internet.

Also, you have to sign in each time you use the app. If you have a The Card number you have to look it up and enter it for each use.

Terrible.
