Don’t waste your money
Wyze camera when the internet power goes out and come back on you have to unplug each camera for them to work. I have 8 of them so it’s a pain to do that each time.

Occasionally my camera will look at the sky- I have to hang out my window and reposition it- any solutions?

Great prices for the cameras but it does take a bit for the video to load, on our Internet or on Data in a 5G area

I manually turn my Wyze camera off whenever I am home, yet I have recently experienced situations where the camera appears to turn back on by itself. I have also repeatedly received requests involving location sharing that I did not knowingly authorize.
More concerning, I have heard unexplained noises and, on some occasions, what sounded like a human voice. I noticed that these incidents appear to occur when the Wyze camera is active. I cannot confirm the source of these sounds, but this pattern has raised serious concerns about whether my camera, account, audio, or video feed could be accessible to someone without my knowledge or authorization.
I want to be very clear: I have never authorized anyone to monitor, listen to, record, or access my family through this camera beyond the permissions I personally established.
I am asking Wyze to urgently investigate this issue, including whether my camera is being activated or accessed without my authorization. This is a serious privacy and security concern because this camera is inside my home.

Awful App, Always Freezes, Never Connects
Awful connectivity. Bought the floodlight camera and it rarely ever connects, the app freezes, and doesn’t respond to my inputs. It’s offline 50% of the time, and the other 50% it’s just frozen. My router is THREE FEET away and has the highest speeds you can buy yet this camera is constantly a problem. My Ring camera at the front of my house is over 10 times the distance away from my router and works perfectly every single time. I reach out to support and they tell me my camera “must be too far away to receive a WiFi connection”. Spend the extra money and stick with name brands like Google and Ring products.

Wyze sucks you couldn’t wait to screw their customers with a subscription service to a subpar equipment.
Spams ad notifications
Even with "news and promotions" disabled, it sends an advertisements as notifications. It's really frustrating because you have to enable notifications for alerts, and you may even have it set to notify through "do not disturb" since it's a security camera. And with that permission it sends you ads. I'm not gonna buy a new camera over it but I'm definitely not going to buy another one of these.

Reduced functionality
In the past I liked to use Automation location based feature that worked with Shortcuts on my iPhone. This month Wyze removed that feature and instead now requires to give the app always on access to my location to enable similar feature with the app. Bait and switch; I’m not giving 24/7 access to my location to some app that then would sell this to anyone willing to pay.

You get what you pay for
The app is fine, and for a free set up you probably can’t find better. But don’t think that means a smooth or consistent experience. Some times my live fees or SD saved videos play immediately, sometimes they just never load and I need to reset everything. Twice now I’ve had a camera (a doorbell duo pro and an outdoor v4) kill an SD card after weeks of working fine. So far from a perfect system, but for the price it’s fine.

Complete Waste
The cameras constantly go offline for no apparent reason. WiFi is good, the cameras themselves are “connected” yet the app says they’re offline. Usually one at a time for a few days and they’ll randomly come back on, but now both have been offline for a few days. Not just that when It detects motion the picture it takes is lagged so it’s very blurry or the motion is no longer in the frame. They’re really only good for live stream watching(if you even can) unless you pay for a subscription of course because every company must squeeze every penny out of us, hundreds of dollars on the camera is not enough. Also why would I even pay for a subscription when they’re going “offline” all the time? Complete waste.

Powerful camera set up
Very nice with all the features it does, they need to fix the SD card recording system, always messing up, unable to get your video record.

Visualização ruim e propagandas
O visual do app está pior do que há alguns anos atrás, tanto o vídeo quanto os eventos. Poderia ter o básico que funciona, sem muitos adornos visuais. A busca de retroceder e avançar no vídeo gravado é péssima.
Para completar, 2 a 3x por semana tem notificações de propaganda. Num equipamento de segurança isso é absolutamente incoerente e acaba com a confiança. A cada atualização vocês conseguem piorar a experiência. Até achava que era meu Android antigo, mas agora que estou com iPhone vejo que ter um sistema de mediano pra ruim é intencional.
Minha próxima câmera não será da wyze, e nunca mais será minha recomendação.
