Layout breaks whenever you go to another app and back
Really irritating - at least on the puzzles I use (polygon, crossword, killer sudoku) on iPad, if you switch to another app and then switch back the layout changes to a much less nice one, and you have to exit the puzzle and go back into it to fix it. Been like this for ages.
Oh, and the nag to enable notifications is just user hostile. I don’t want a puzzle app to send me notifications. Nobody wants a puzzle app to send them notifications. There is nothing useful to notify me about. I know new puzzles appear at midnight every single day. So stop nagging me to enable them every time I open the app.

Worst app designer
They keep updating the puzzle formats for unfathomable reasons - making them objectively harder to interact with. Just awful

Great puzzles but the lazy app design results in problems where most recently, every time I reopened the cryptic jumbo the whole puzzle reset and I lost all progress . Happened 15 times before I gave up and printed it instead.
Now every time I open I get the portrait narrowed appearance (holding it in landscape) with no clues on the size and have to reorientate to landscape to refresh. This is EVERY time I reopen the puzzle.
The support is next to useless. They take days to answer the first query, just to ask for your name and email address before they can investigate. Then truly unhelpful - I.e., uninstall and reinstall. Well that didn’t work, so how about you fix the app instead!

Broken again and again
On Thursday Picle went wrong - refused to accept the map location I entered. On Friday it worked. Tuesday and it’s broken again.
Looks like a new version because each game opens with a “how to play” pop-up. And all past scores are lost. And every time the app opens it asks about notifications. Very irritating.
