It’s even better than it seems
LOVE Tovala. It’s honestly even better than it seems. I’ve never been disappointed in a meal, and it’s so easy to use. On the weeks when I don’t order meals, I still use it to cook whatever I’m making for lunch. I also love scanning bar codes on my Costco items too like frozen pizzas, pop tarts, etc. The app is so well designed and incredibly easy to use. I use my Tovala almost every day. Plus, customer service is always super helpful! 10/10 you won’t regret it!

Food ok but not customer service
I have been using Tovala for about four years. The price has increased dramatically, and the customer service experience has gone downhill drama. I have been blocked from Tovala’s Facebook page for a complaint that that was written professionally no profanity and no they’ve also blocked me from having a chat with them to find out why they blocked me from their page.
I’ve now reached out to mini sea level people at Tovala to hopefully get a.

Not good
I constantly received food I didn’t order. Their customer service was not very good either dealing with someone who can do absolutely nothing to help you. The food took so long to get here I only had 2 days to eat all the meals so I was repeatedly eating food after the expiration date. The sealed meats constantly had holes in the packaging leaking raw meat juice all over the inside of the box and making a huge mess. According to Tovala their sealed meat packaging is supposed to have holes in it and leek all over the place. I don’t understand that. Their packing of cold food was insufficient as I repeatedly received food with warm ice packs and warm raw food. I canceled my subscription because it’s definitely not worth it.

Broken oven door
From the time I opened the box and plugged the oven in the light inside the oven would not turn off. The first time I tried to cook my shrimp meal the oven kept indicating door and not turn on. I called support and emailed them with no response. Waste of time and money. I had to through the meal out.

I can’t use the app until I update and I can’t update because the update is broken. Please fix it please fix it. Please fix it.

Almost every meal hast to be cooked in our own air fryer because the scan has never worked

This is an absolute scam. They send substandard, spoiled food, open food, and when you skip they send whatever they want.
Needs better UX
User should be able to edit their box in the summary view. I should be able to delete a selection without having to scroll through the whole week's meals to find it.

If you like comfort food and don’t have time for meal prep this is the service for you.
Make sure to eat everything in 48 hours from receiving your box though regardless of what the box says. There’s gotta be something going on with delivery because nothing is lasting until the expiration date.
Food is a little hit and miss. The idea is good and I hoped it was worth the money but after having it for a few months no. I’m paying more for what feels like less.
I may as well be eating out. The meals are not quite balanced. I’m always having to add some kind of green like a can of greens on the side or the meal feels incomplete and I have to pay an additional $5 for sides to complete the meal. Eating out is more filling and cheaper. Terrible for you but you get the point.
When I went to cancel my subscription the app completely freezes on that screen. If I click anywhere it works just fine. Coincidence?

Love it
I've tried a handful of other ready meal delivery services and this is by far my favorite. I actually eagerly look forward to my meals. Prep is easy, the oven works, and there's no clean-up to speak of. I'm impressed by how well it cooks the food when you're cooking different meal components at the same time. I've used Tovala for about 4 weeks and have loved almost every meal. The ones that were "just okay", it was because of personal taste, not because something was wrong with the meal.

Truly surprised!
First I’d like to mention that I love food, cooking and eating f out. I’m one of those persons that live to eat and not eat to live, but between my divorce, a lot of work and my 2 dogs (which I cook for them) I don’t have plenty of time. I’ve tried several food services and all are mediocre or bad. I decided to give this a chance because of the free oven and wow it has been a nice surprise! I truly hope the keep the quality and they will have a client for a long time.

I was a former fan of Tovala. Delicious food and high tech. But now they have switched delivery services and food is arriving late. Sometimes not at all. Their response. "If your food is damaged we now need a photo". Ok. But what photo can I send when food never arrives. Even their tracking info shows it still in Pennsylvania. Too bad. I thought I might have finally found a great food program. Typical. They cut costs and ruined a good thing.

I have numerous issues with this company. I am unsure where to begin with the inconsistent weekly payment processing or the instances where I select a payment card on file but they charge an alternative.
It takes approximately two days for them to respond to any question or concern, which often results in the issue being too late.
They sent me my oven, which arrived within a week. The food we ordered took about two or three weeks to arrive. In the meantime, I have used the tovala oven twice to cook two pieces of toast and one piece of salmon. Unfortunately, the oven malfunctioned during the cooking cycle, necessitating the replacement of a new one. The food we ordered came the next day now we don’t have a working tovala oven.
Although it may seem unusual, you require their tovala oven to prepare their food, as there are specific cooking instructions available. Fortunately, they provided me with an email regarding this matter.

App need lots of work
App really is a disappointment. Hard to believe after all these years it’s this bad. So many beginner mistakes, the most glaring being the lack of sorting in alphabetical order. Scrolling through hundreds of companies to find a brand???
Oven unreliable
The food is amazing but there is nothing worse than getting ready to cook your dinner and your oven is offline. And it won’t connect. The meal card insert does not tell you how long to cook the items so that if you can’t use your barcode, you might be able to cook your items in a regular oven. So I wasn’t able to eat my dinner and I still can’t connect my oven. Very frustrating. Love the idea they have created but a WiFi only oven is unreliable.

Strange revie
My meals are always delivered to my front door; I am seldom home. The one star review does not make sense to me. Delivery has always been fine. The food is good to great and easy to prepare.
The best, consistently
By far the best of all the food delivery services (I’ve tried at least 7 of them) in terms of flavor, freshness, ease of cooking and value. The meat even comes marinated and vacuum sealed! The toaster oven is fantastic, especially the steam function, it even makes soft boiled eggs! I’m in love with my Tovala!
