Thank you so much for the feedback. We’ve built our knowledge base from over 700,000 ingredients, compounds, and chemicals reviewed for pet safety. With a small team, it was financially and logistically impossible to gather real images for all of them, so we focused on generating visuals that are as close and recognizable as possible. We’ve heard this feedback from other users as well, and we have it on our roadmap to improve in 2025. Hopefully, over time, we can transition to more real images in stages. Every feedback helps us make ToxiPets better for pet owners everywhere. Thank you again.
Could not scan anything
Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback, and we're really sorry for the frustration. That experience isn’t what we want for our users. We’re currently conducting testing across a wide range of devices to ensure the camera feature works consistently for everyone. Your report is incredibly helpful for that effort. In the meantime, if you're open to it, we’d love to work with you directly to troubleshoot and make things right. You can reach us anytime at admin@chivelab.com. Also, we’re happy to issue a refund while we sort this out. Thanks again for giving ToxiPets a try.
Not accurate
Response from developer
Hi Danny_alv, thank you for the review, and we're really sorry about the inaccurate scan. When we started ToxiPets, it was after our own dog, Snoopy, nearly died from getting into a bottle of Imodium. We built the app to help pet parents identify and avoid household toxins, not originally for pet food or pet medications. But over the past few months, we’ve seen a shift: around 70% of user searches now start with pet food, pet supplements, or pet medications. While these aren’t toxic, it shows how much pet parents care about what’s in their pets’ products. We’re actively expanding our focus to support that need. We really appreciate your feedback and would love to hear more. If you're open to chatting with our product team, please reach out to us at admin@chivelab.com. The ToxiPets Team 🐾

Response from developer
Thank you for your honest review and we're really sorry for the trouble. Just to clarify, we don’t have any hidden tiers or upsells beyond the monthly and yearly plans. That upgrade popup should not be showing for subscribers. It's a bug that a few users have run into, and we’re releasing a fix for it this week. You’ve officially joined our Bug Finder Club 🐞. It's our way of showing love to users who help us catch bugs before they spread. When someone reports an issue like this, we treat it like gold. It helps us fix things faster and make the app better for everyone. To thank you, we’re sending Chewy gift cards to users who spot these issues. Please email us at admin@chivelab.com. We appreciate your support and are working hard to make sure the app delivers what your pets deserve. ToxiPets Team
