Inoperable garbage!
Had this camera installed by the dealer. It’s very difficult to use. More importantly, there’s no warning until it’s too late that you can damage the camera and the card if you remove it while the camera is plugged in! That’s nuts!!! I’ve only been able to pull one video off and text it to myself. Can’t seem to repeat the process. This dash cam viewer is a total train wreck, too. It has no links to open a saved video. There are no instructions of any sort. Even though there’s a link that says instructions, it only tells you “what” you can do. Not “HOW” you can do it. That’s not instructions, that annoyance.

Couldn’t connect and get back the important videos. Why they can do Nothing on it??!
App Update
This app has not been updated in 10-11 months. I should have opted for a non-Toyota dashcam. It keeps disconnecting from the iPhone when I attempt to download a video clip.
Garbage
Doesn’t work - had to reset it and had two incidents that it didn’t capture. So I can’t trust that it will work. So expensive for it to not work. And Toyota is NOT helpful fixing it. The app is impossible to use as it won’t store downloaded video.
App won’t work
Trying to set up the app and it will not let me open the app. It will not connect to the camera. Tried calling Toyota and they will not help me out. They keep telling me to go back to the dealership.

Worst app ever
This is by far the most frustrating/infuriating app ever put out there. This app is separate from the connection to your car so no matter how many times you try to connect to it the car keeps kicking you off your connection with the dash cam. And if you’re in proximity to any other connection that you might have it also kicks you off. So even if you disconnect an unpaired from absolutely everything you still can’t get into this dash cam app without being kicked off and told that something is wrong but no matter what you do it won’t connect, but then about the 50th time of doing the same repeated steps it might connect and then slowly, and I mean slowly, load a clip and then when you go to scroll to the next clip, it’ll kick you out and you’ll go through another 50 attempts of trying to reconnect.

I am able to connect to the camera in the network settings but the app no longer detects the camera so i can no longer use it. Very disappointing
Does Not Connect
I have had this Dashcam since November 2024 i have never been able to have this connected to the app. It is absolutely useless to have a dashcam that you cannot retrieve the footage. What a waste of $500. Even with the newest update it is still not working. Update - it is now middle of April still cannot connect to the dashcam with my IPhone 16 what a waste of money god for bid I need to access the footage and I cannot what a JOKE

It’s been 2 months and they still haven’t fixed the connection yo the app issue.

Then never updated they never do it better. I don’t really understand Toyota bus whole big company is it they need to have a good job and this is not good always not working. I don’t like it not recommended.
iPhone 15pro Max - Connection issues
Toyota genuine dash cam Viewer App = Terrible.
Have been riding with the Toyota Genuine Dash Camera for 4years. Worked just fine until I upgraded my iPhone to the iPhone 15pro max. Now…”connection failed issues”…phone doesn’t even recognize the camera at all.
Have verified the camera is working on the PC app. Can see videos etc.
To be clear. The iPhone app has always been pretty bad but at least it worked pre iPhone 14…kinda…not really.
@ TOYOTA, time for a major overhaul of the app and bug fixes please.

Cannot connect with iPhone 16pro
I can I get my iPhone 16 pro to connect to the cameras WiFi. Older iPhones connect every time. Please fix this

Always have connectivity issues from day 1. Don’t waste your hard earned money on garbage dashcam. Don’t waste ur time on this app as well on this app.
