Met one of my best friends 2 years ago on this app. We now work for a foundation and travel the world documenting the foundations efforts in providing aid to communities around the world. Thanks trip bff!
Of recent the changes to the interface have really limited the ability to connect with others however. For instance the alterations to the group plans portion of the app I can no longer join a “Central America” group chat because if the person who made it did so in Panama and I’m now in Nicaragua even though the group is made for all of Central America it won’t let me join. It’s a lot tougher to get connected to people unless they’re actively Right where you are, but where I found this app worked best was reaching out to others in advance we’d get acquainted and make plans to meet when we eventually traveled to the destination a couple days weeks or months later.
Also yall are missing Eswatini on the country counter and have East timor/timor leste twice haha

100% would recommend (coming from a day one)
I have used this app since it came out and they were doing little tweaks to make it better and better and it has become a go to when I travel. I have tried all kinds of travel apps out of curiosity. But this one is by far the best platform with the kindest developers. Would highly recommend.👍

Account suspended for no reason
I was looking forward to making new friends in Europe. I downloaded this app to create new connections as I recently came across. I found my account was suspended for no reason it said it would process for 24 hours to decide if my account should maintain suspended it’s been three days since that happened.. I emailed their support team with no answer as if I have been ghosted really disappointed

I don’t want the majority of notifications/friend requests I receive from this app to be from older men. this alone drives down my engagement on this app by 85%, and I’m sure the majority of women on this app feel the same way. The two women I did manage to meet from this app agreed to this themselves.
The least this app can do is allow everyone to filter based on age and gender. even these are paid features! And the age range choices are quite large.

This app seems to be a scam
This app seems to be a scam. I subscribed and never even used the app but keep getting message that my account is banned. How can my account be banned without me using the app? How’s that possible!!? Something is seriously wrong… and they have taken my money 🥲
Randomly banned
The app was working great, but then I was randomly banned with no warning or reason. I’ve submitted a email with no reply. I have a trip coming up soon and would’ve liked to use the app.
Location
I love the app, but with the amount of ppl that see my profile and close radius, which I’m not sure how specific it shows… I have to take out my picture out and change my name when I don’t travel to feel safe because there’s no option that I see here to turn off my location completely while home.
Scam
Go through the whole setup process to find out they charge (a lot) for a year sub after a three day free trial. Has a bunch of fake accounts, and tons of bad reviews, which means they have paid for or been cheesing out the fake 5-star reviews. There is no userbase. Greedy platform gets what’s coming for them. Don’t bother downloading this app.

Total disappointment
Be careful with this app. I intended to use the advertised free trial but was charged AUD 129.99 for an annual subscription instead!! I cancelled immediately and reached out to support several times with no response. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.

Have to pay to join groups outside of your local area
I got this app in the beginning when I could join groups out of the country for free and plan trips with people but now everything is behind a paywall. I can’t even join groups in the country I plan to visit without paying. Also I don’t want creepy older men to be able to contact me but I have to pay to filter preferences in my settings. Not worth it.

Didnt delete my account when i asked it to
I tried this app and the concept is good, but i realised i didnt need it so i clicked to delete my account. The app signed me out so i thought the job was done. However, i'm still receiving notifications from chats i was in before deleting my account, the names of other people and the contents of their messages are still appearing in my notifications. And what i find is even worse is that i am getting requests to "hang out nearby" and I'm now scared that my profile is still appearing on the live map feature. Please, what is the meaning of this and how do i make it stop???????

You have to pay to use any feature in the app
Literally just trying to meet new people and it’s acting like a dating app, pay to see who views your page, pay to see whose around you, pay to see what activities are going on around you, pay to use the map and browse your area. Waste of a time with no functionality

good idea but there’s not much point in it when everything is basically locked behind a pay wall. the “pro” features aren’t really even worth the money that should just be what the app is? might work for some of you have money to pointlessly throw away, but i think there are better ways to meet people during your travels
