Not trustworthy

Terrible company

Shocking company, each time they update the app it negatively impacts drivers pay. They take a massive amount of money from every driver every week to supposedly improve the app, but just the other week, after an app update the navigation never worked. It seems they only do updates to improve their take rate and it never seems to work in the drivers favour ever. Being offered jobs sometimes 10+ miles away as an exclusive to the drivers, while trips that you could literally be 50 yards away from are being offered on trip radar and then when you try and get that job it gives it to someone else further away. And then you have the priority jobs that customers mistakenly believe is going to get them a car quicker, but I’ve been offered priority jobs when I’ve been 3+ miles away. Customers are being forced to book priority bcos Uber are offering low ball prices to drivers knowing they won’t accept them and then sending a message to the customer asking them if they want to book priority to get a car quicker. Simple solution Uber, offer drivers a fair price and there would be no need for customers to book a priority, but this is all part of Ubers master plan to squeeze more money from customers. Very shady practices from Uber.

I always thought Uber Eats and Just Eat were completely useless… Turns out the only thing worth keeping is their delivery bags. 🍅😂

It’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, uber was never meant to be a full time job, just a job for people working around kids, top up your full time salary in your spare time. You can average around £20-25 per hour if you’re in the right town/city. With uber pro card you get paid out instantly, what you earn is what you keep so no need to pay the operator at the end of the week. Few downsides if you’re not in a big city, the promotion functions and pre booking functions don’t work at all, I’ve never seen an airport run not once, never seen an event in my town despite having football grounds, rugby grounds and theatres.. don’t receive any pre bookings as they’re given to the next city over due to licensing restrictions.

There’s a lot they could and should fix, but all in for me, I’m happy enough with what I make, I aim for about £300 profit per week and for that I need about £500 after taking off fuel/insurance/car payments/maintenance.

Don’t do it as a full time career, you won’t enjoy it you’ll have to work way too many hours, but doing it as what it was designed for, it’s so flexible. I work round my kids going to and from school and round my wife needing care due to disability and it’s perfect for us.

There’s an app for iOS called driver pal, get it downloaded so you can see the good jobs from the bad, gives you instant notification to take the job or to ignore it, if more people did that, we’d all see less £14/hr and £0.58/mile.

Also be careful of your drop off location, a good portion is geofenced, I live right outside a big city, however if I drop off in the city, the app doesn’t work already, tells me I’m outside of my working area only 8 miles from my home, however in the opposite direction I can go around 80-90 miles to other towns and cities and still get jobs in the direction I’m heading home, so learn the boundaries and don’t accept jobs going to places uber decides you can’t work or sign up to other operators in those areas to keep you moving.

They lure you in with flexibility but you end up doing more hours than a standard 9-5 for less than minimum wage.

Background check issue

I m working with uber from last 2 years last week a got a massage to do background check i clicked that but its shows link is expired i m trying to contact uber support but from last 4 days they saying a specialist gonna contact you than they close chat but when i try to reach again they saying same thing there is no proper support from confused uber team and they wasted my three days.

Location of features

The app used to be very user friendly I can’t locate driver destination anymore easily I ask for help and the auto bot tells me it’s under settings however, there’s no settings available. I wish they would just put it back on the sidebar where we could easily it

Earn less than minimum wage

They pay you pennys now not lile before, lower than minimum wage and they are proud of it. If you want to waste your life and earn pennys go for it. You will be addicted to earning less than minimum wage rate wasting fuel, vehicles and paying tax.

I’ve had my review deleted several times. Uber is absolutely in massive operating decline. Liquidate all Uber stock. I have no more faith in this company.

Updates & Driver Support

It is baffling how many corners this company cuts at the behest of their Drivers aka THE LIFEBLOOD of their multibillion dollar company!! Your tech division cannot even get simple updates right without completely botching at least one feature to the app with every single update! The NEWEST UPDATE COMPLETELY BUGGED THE ABILITY FOR OUR NAVIGATION TO LEAD US TO THE LOCATION!! How can you screw up THE MOST CRITICAL ASPECT OF YOUR APP?!?! Your driver support that you outsourced to India is an absolute disgrace. Not only is the language barrier difficult, but their knowledge, understanding, and expertise is so subpar it’s almost laughable. They offer absolutely ZERO problem solving skills and if it is not written on their computer screen or requires any real world understanding of what drivers may run into as problems, the driver is left completely stranded. The corporate leadership at this company is simply embarrassing and is so rightfully mocked and laughed at as a joke of the industry. They have not advanced a single aspect of the driver/company cohesion a single bit in the 3 years I have worked here. Nor is there ANY benefit to loyalty or excelling in customer or restaurant relationships. Just the worst company by far I have ever known to exist.

uber doesn’t respect drivers

customers can rate drivers,
restaurants can rate drivers,
drivers can rate neither.
customers can withdraw tips for no reason, and the trip becomes a scam for driver.

Uber needs to pay better.

I hardly ever get any promotions as a platinum rider. And the exclusives are a joke. They should show the hourly and they typically pay trash! I average 30-35 an hour but I have to basically cancel ride after ride because how terrible the pay is. Makes earning a living through uber frustrating after costs of gas and insurance!! Fix it Lyft has much better features for the driver

Un robo a mano armada

La app se queda con más del 50% de ganancias y más los costos de la gasolina, no termina siendo rentable. Antes podías vivir de esto y ahora simplemente te roban en la cara, no lo recomiendo para nada.

App is garbage

Takes too long to get orders it says right now at 6:15 is a hot hour to get online but I have been for an hour now and I’ve gotten no orders.

Terrible Driver Support!!

Hard to earn when support can’t do anything to help. Received an order and customer wasn’t available. Prompted to return the order after all current deliveries were made. Only compensated $2.79 for driving over 18 miles and a hour and 15 minutes of my time….

App is very glitchy and has not been paying as much as it stated it would when I accepted offer.

This app has been very glitchy, not posting proper payment amount, not paying extra for returning order to store, and improperly stating how long delivery would take and how far the CXs are… this is very unprofessional… hopefully there isn’t a class-action lawsuit soon… I hope it gets fixed soon 🔜
