Sometimes it be like that
I’m someone who’s always had a vehicle ever since I had a drivers license. When you run into certain circumstances that leave you without your own Transportation, it has a way of humbling you. Summer of 2025 was a summer that my two boys and I were without a vehicle and having to depend on Uber, Medicaid, Transportation, family, and friends. Out of those different options, Uber was the one we utilize the most and thank God for apps and services, such as these. Uber is convenient, budget friendly, the whole time we had to use Uber. I only experienced one driver that was unprofessional and causes more harm to my situation than anything, but that is for another review at another time lol all the other drivers were very professional easy to conversation with and if they did not want to engage in conversation, music was on, so it wasn’t an awkward silence or anything. During our time of utilizing the app, my youngest son had a birthday and turned the qualifying age to be able to ride unsupervised without her parent as a teen. That is a really helpful convenient future that app offers. He never had a unpleasant ride or concern either what I like most when it comes to the team aspect of it is whenever I messaged the driver they responded immediately. There was not even a minute wait and I absolutely just love that cause it made me feel better, especially the first few times that he is Uber by himself. I recommend Uber and also want to give some advice to people that will be using Uber for their transportation to and from if you can spare and had a pleasant trip, no complaint try to tip a little more if you can

Coverage Area Not Transparent
I had been using Uber for years. I recently attempted a book a trip back home. I kept receiving a message “no rides available” and they left me stranded. I later found out that Uber discontinued service to a large part of a city due to a past wildfire weeks ago. They never restored service.
Customer Service was horrible. The first contact, they stated I accessed the wrong department, and they dropped my inquiry without transferring me to the right department. The second attempt, they just sent me a link to their website without addressing the question. It took roughly 21 hours to connect to “the next available” customer service agent.
I just switched to Lyft, who does provide the needed coverage area.

apparently uber thinks that food not following my dietary restrictions isnt valid enough for a refund! this is the second time i order something that came with meat and obviously i couldnt eat it so i report the order and i only get refunded 3$ for the "inconvenience"... ITS NOT AN INCONVENIENCE. now i just spend 10+$ on something I CANT EAT.
