They require you keep your eSIM
I was a repeat customer, but I don’t like to keep inactive eSIMs on my phone. Apparently with the new app version there is no easy way to re-add or add a new eSIM. I just decided to buy another eSIM from a different vendor and rage review the Ubigi app. Good riddance!!!

Fairly buggy
Lots of eSIM apps out there. This service doesn’t have anything to make it stand out. The interface is buggy and doesn’t give notifications of your data usage.

I use Ubigi every time I travel to Japan. It’s very convenient because I can start using it right away after installing it. So far, I’ve had a good signal even when I travel to the countryside, so I’m very satisfied with the service. Highly recommended!

For a trip to Korea, I needed a good travel eSim. After many hours of research and several TikTok reels on the subject, I came across Ubigi. When I say this app and eSIM are the best and I really mean it. The Ubigi eSIM went into action immediately once I landed in Korea and it was seamless transition with a few phone setting changes. It runs off the SKT system in Korea which is the best network here plus no pesky verification process. The signal was always strong and never had any issues with connectivity no matter where I was. Be sure to download the app, buy the eSIM, and know your phone setting changes before leaving your country so you get the full benefits. In the end, I would highly recommend a Ubigi eSIM!

Unreliable and poor customer support
I used Ubigi service for several months and every month I had problems not getting service. The service is trash and when I reached out for support, all they did was complicate it and make it unnecessarily cumbersome… clearly discouraging people from seeking support. Im done with Ubigi I’ve moved on to a better company

misleading and dishonest
I previously left a review because I bought an 'unlimited' data plan that wasn't unlimited, and the information about the data cap only showed up after i bought the plan. That seemed a bit misleading to me, but I moved on. Now, Ubigi has changed my currency to AUD with no option of changing it back in the app, and the price in AUD is over 15% higher than the converted USD price. Nice job guys!

Awful app, awful service
App is terrible. Login doesn’t work, Face ID login keeps failing, password reset doesn’t work. Avoid.

BE AWARE
Ubigi has low pricing for e-sims which are for a 3 month contract. This is not well displayed and it will not be cancelled within that time. You must cancel after the 3 months else they will keep doing auto renewal. I unfortunately went on holiday 4 months ago and still paying for their subscription which I only used for 1 week on holiday.

Very bad company
they don't get me back the speed I paid for in my unlimited package, then I will make you such an advertisement that no one will contact you for your services at all. On every fence it will be written where I can reach that you are deceiving people. You sell one thing that people agree to, and then change the agreement unilaterally, without coordinating with your customers. I'm very disappointed, get back to speed now, and then I'll turn a blind eye to this pointless

I cannot recommend Ubigi based on my experience in Nicaragua.
Poor coverage in Nicaragua and even worse customer support. The eSIM barely worked during my trip, despite local mobile networks working fine. When I requested a refund, support ignored my request and kept sending generic copy-and-paste setup instructions instead of dealing with the actual problem. Very disappointing experience. I won’t be using Ubigi again.

This may have hacked my phone
I bought a one gigabyte eSIM card and within an hour my phone had been compromised. Every credit card in my wallet was charged and compromised. The bank said that it appears the SIM card gave access to someone nefarious and they copied my phone. I spent 12 hours today trying to rectify over $10,000 in charges, but realized there’s a lot more information that was revealed to these people I have no idea what is coming. Please don’t download and please take this off the App Store.

Scam
It’s a scam, they take ur money their products dosent work. You try to connect with them for assistance there is immediate help line so you have to send a message. You write the message and send it and it won’t send. Website just reloads the page so you’re stuck in an infinite loop. Shame these services aren’t stopped before reaching the market

Internet limité déception
La première fois que j’ai utilisé Ubigi c’était pour une semaine dans le cadre d’un voyage. Étant en dehors de wifi pendant un mois et ayant consommé tout mon internet mobile, je décide de prendre Ubigi internet illimité pendant un mois. Quelle surprise de ne pas pouvoir visionner du streaming sans coupure. Puis, il m’est arrivé de recevoir des mails m’indiquant que j’étais limité par équité entre membre. Mon app gps ainsi que YouTube pour la voiture a été coupé pendant plusieurs heures. Ce service n’est donc pas digne d’un opérateur classique, autant recharger chez mon opérateur.

Hotspot Functionality
I decided to purchase Ubigi because it’s marketing materials said that it seemlessly connected with other devices as a hotspot. I am in Brazil and the hotspot is not working. I have gone through several AI recommended fixes and this far mom are working. Hotspot functionality was the primary reason why I selected Ubigi over other providers . This is a very disapointing customer experience. Please resolve this bug.

Mon ami et moi voulions essayer l'eSIM pour la première fois. Nous avons vu que si vous donniez un code de parrainage, ils bénéficieraient de 20 % de réduction et vous bénéficieriez de 50 % de réduction. Pour une raison quelconque, l'application a buggué et n'a jamais appliqué la réduction. Je suis allé au support client pour un remboursement, mais ils ont seulement accepté d'accorder à mon ami la réduction de 20 %. J'ai insisté pour bénéficier également de ma réduction de 50 %, mais ils ont refusé. Par conséquent, je ne recommande pas cette application car ces bugs idiots vous feront dépenser plus que prévu.

Stopped working in Japan
My son and I each had the app on our phones. Worked fine in the US. In Japan when my son ran low on data the app wouldn’t open and provided no way to top off. I checked my app just to see if mine was working and also had no access — just a repeated error message at log-in.
