Account creation doesn’t work after purchase
App and web alike return a generic “error… please try again” message after login. This would be less frustrating had I not already purchased and installed an eSIM from their site, which is apparently possible without an account being created. Password resets don’t even arrive in spam folder. Without an account good luck getting support,

App doesn’t work
The mobile data worked at really high speeds. But the app is impossible to use. I couldn’t add data or check my remaining balance. It either won’t load at all, or shows an error message when I try to log in. At times when I was able to log in, the dashboard wouldn’t load and an error message would show on the top up screen. I tried the app multiple times on 2 different phones. I had to go with a different company. This is a shame because the network speeds with Ubigi was far better.

App is horrible
The app barely works, when it loads your dashboard loads 1/10 times, you buy more data and sometimes it doesn’t work. Only decent if u buy unlimited data. Support sucks they have no live chat or ai chat bot in 2026??

Unlimited plan is not unlimited
I was promised a unlimited data plan for my trip, just for a week in to my two and a half week trip for it to get “optimised” do not claim your service is unlimited when in fact it’s not.

Ease of use
Very easy with different plans across countries
No service
I purchased a eSIM for the US. It did not work even after I went through all the support steps on their website. I also emailed them and they didn’t respond. I had to buy another sim from a different company. Avoid!
Very very easy
It’s a very straightforward, no extras service. Install the app buy a plan and install the sim. Everything appears in the main screen so you are prompted along as you go.
Also a very hard to find bonus is that to change phones is as simple as deleting the sim on the current one , logging into the new phone and clicking install sim. May be some delay before it realises that the first sim is gone. But if you’re in a rush, then delete the entire account and recreate on the new phone.
For me an excellent do it yourself service implementation.

Unlimited isn't unlimited, plus coverage issues
As far as a travel esim goes, Ubigi is okay. They offer discounts sometimes, it's easy to use, and works fine some/most of the time. However, I'm frustrated that the 'Unlimited' data packs aren't actually unlimited - you get 60gb at full speed, then anything you use beyond that is 2mbps. This information was given to me right after purchasing the data pack, which I feel is a bit cheeky. Given the price of an unlimited pack, I feel a bit ripped off.
In addition to this, the coverage is often quite poor. My phone will say I'm on 5g, but nothing will load. It's very inconsistent and causes me a lot of frustration. I'm not saying don't use Ubigi, just adjust your expectations and don't buy unlimited if you actually need unlimited data.

Service interruption frequently
Been using this for several months now in the beginning, it was great but for whatever reason I’m running into constant interruptions where I have no service and they send an apology email but I just want my service to work.

Excellent app design
The app is full featured, quick and easy to use. Most of the service I have had in the South Pacific requires me to regularly turn off and on my cellular radio to get the data to work well.
Cannot reinstall eSIM
I’m completely stuck. EDIT: Support were helpful and got to me within 24 hours - it’s now resolved. Thank you :)
