UPC Scan
I have been using this service since September 2025 but effective June 1, 2026 I can no longer scan the code to see if it’s a eligible item. I have to type in the numbers which is difficult given my limited mobility. I spoke with customer service web service and they couldn’t assist me either. I have been using an iPhone and for some reason it just stopped working.

Works about half the time
Both the app and website (using my phone) have issues loading and opening certain pages.

This app does not work at all. All of the functionality it promises leads to dead links or just doesn’t work.

UPDATE 2: now I can’t login at all!! Bravo guys 🙄You update the plan for start of new year and I can’t login to app with password or biometrics to see details UPDATE: Can’t view message inbox via the app. I tap on it repeatedly and it NEVER opens plus Face ID not working AGAIN 🙄 We can’t login without having to enter our login info EVERY time and then having to get a code sent to you via text Why are you making this more difficult 😣 when Face ID is secure?! It’s almost like you don’t want us to use the app?! | Can’t even search for a doctor easily on the app 🙄 You can’t sort by distance and when I tap on a name in results to view details I get a page with nothing 😒 Completely USELESS | New app update is HORRID! I can’t even type a reply to message on app! As soon as I type one character its immediately submitted! So a message that was important to closed by their system for thinking I was sending spam messages! This is ridiculous! I should be able to type in the app without issues 😡 | Face ID NOT working. Why do I have Face ID enabled if your app is going to make me login with the password EVERY time anyhow!!? | I sent a message that I was disappointed the upcoming change to OTC card STILL does not take into consideration those of us who do not drive. I then receive the scripted response and it says I can “Add a response” in 5 days. But there’s no way to do so! So I have to start this process all over again. Frankly getting fed up with the disabled who don’t drive being ignored. Not everyone on Medicare is over 65. Some of us are legally disabled and UPMC is failing us.

Great app except for one issue
This app has been so useful and id love to give it five starts however it has one annoying pain point. Why would the default option be to show you a plan you had years ago?? The default should be the then-current plan. Customer service said there is no way to switch this on my end. Developers please, please, please make the change so the current plan is the default when logging in. Please and thank you.

No search function. Pages don't load.

Great app except for one issue
I have enjoyed using this app however one pain point that I am hoping the developers can fix. When I log in the health care plan I had back in 2022-2023 is the default plan. Why would you have an outdated plan pop up as the default coverage? Customer service said there is no way to switch this on my end. Developers you need to change it so the current plan is the default. Please and thank you.

Poorly Designed
Every time I back out to the main list of claims, I’m taken to the top of the list. I should be taken to the place in the list where I last left off. Very poorly designed and klugey.
Amazing Customer Service Line!
I’ve recently had a phone call with an individual on the line (I didn’t catch her name) and she was extremely helpful and patient with me the entire 30 minutes I was on hold with her. I was anxious in the beginning due to certain deadlines I needed to get done for college clearances but every question I asked was met with compassion and understanding for my situation. By the end of the call, all my worries went away. Whoever she is, thank you so much for helping me. I normally don’t leave reviews and i hope there’s a more direct way to 5-star her service directly but this is the only option I see. I encourage anyone to use it when you need questions and I hope she becomes rich and famous.

Not at all good
Wow UPMC, do better. The app isn't easy to use, not intuitive, links take you to info pages without actions, crashes when attaching files. The only redeeming feature is the search function, this is the best way of maneuvering the confusion that is "the app". Appears to be a poorly developed web wrapper that doesn't format well on my iPhone

This app will NOT let me schedule a virtual appointment past the 3/4th step. The live chat is unresponsive. Beyond looking at your claims this app is essentially useless.

The app freezes and does not load anything that you click on. It has been like that for months. Please fix.
What happened
No option to even login. The app is unresponsive when you tap login. It does nothing. This last update made the app unusable. I can’t even get an app for my android android device at all and now I’m using an iPhone with an app that is unusable. I’m in the hospital with no way to verify coverage for the prescriptions. They’re sending me home with thank you very much for your useless technology. At the most desperate times when needed patients have zero access to that which they depend on for critical care. I am already doubting the medication will be covered that I desperately need. And I am being discharged today. Now I have to call when I am really not in a position to do so

Your online Personal representative designation form does not advance if no end date is selected. I was forced to choose the two year time range in order to advance beyond that point and finish the form.
Can’t pay premium
Everything seems to work aside from payments. Absolute garbage. Healthcare in the USA is a joke. The country is a business. We are the products. Garbage.
