Uride Driver

We use our personal cars and are responsible for all maintenance, yet most of what we earn goes directly toward fuel. Sometimes we receive rides worth only $5, and we have to drive up to 10 km just to complete them. You mentioned that time would be added when the “stop” button is used, but that has not been happening. Some passengers are still misusing this feature, and it feels like Uride is not addressing the issue. There is also no one available to answer calls during emergencies. If something happens with a passenger, we receive messages immediately—but where is the support when drivers need help? You make money through us. You stated that the company only keeps 30%, but it feels closer to 50%, with drivers receiving the other 50%. On top of that, too many drivers have been hired, and many stay online all day. This makes it very difficult to earn a reasonable income. At this point, many of us are barely covering fuel costs with these low-paying rides.

Bring back multi stop button

Because of new policy drivers are getting bad ratings bring back multi stop button and increase ride notification time

Drivers Are Not Partners, Just Profit Source

If you’re thinking of driving for this app, think twice. What they advertise and what you actually earn are completely different. They claim low commission, but after all deductions, it feels like more than 50% is gone. Then drivers still have to handle 13% HST on top of that.

You pay for gas, maintenance, insurance, and your time — yet end up with a small portion of the fare. There is little to no transparency in how earnings are calculated, and important things like proper surcharges don’t always show up.

This is not a partnership, it’s a system where drivers carry all the costs while the company takes the benefit. Very disappointing and needs serious accountability.

We need multi stop option

The URide Driver app is seriously lacking a basic feature that most rideshare platforms already have — a multi-stop option. It’s frustrating not being able to accept or manage trips where passengers need to make multiple stops, which limits earning opportunities and creates unnecessary inconvenience for both drivers and riders.

The app itself already has issues with lag and reliability, but the absence of something as essential as multi-stop trips makes it feel outdated and incomplete. Drivers are forced to improvise or decline rides that could otherwise be simple and profitable.

If URide wants to stay competitive, adding a proper multi-stop feature should be a priority. Right now, the app just doesn’t meet the practical needs of everyday driving.

Wrong policies

The text you shared is quite mixed and unclear, but here’s a clean, meaningful English version based on the intent:

We joined UrRide because we believed in its transparency and thought it would be better than others like Uber. We trusted that everything would be handled fairly and openly. But with these new policies, it feels like things are not the same anymore.

We are putting in our full effort every day—working long hours on the road, facing difficult situations, and still not being treated fairly. It feels like drivers are not being valued properly despite all the hard work we do.

We request you to please understand the problems drivers are facing and take them seriously. Kindly look into these issues and provide proper solutions so that we can continue working with you in a better and fair environment.

“Lack of Respect and Appreciation for Drivers”

I’ve been working with the Uride app, and honestly, the experience has been very disappointing. Drivers are the backbone of this platform—we do all the hard work on the road, but it feels like the company is only focused on earning money without valuing its drivers.

There is a serious lack of fairness. Accounts get deactivated without proper investigation or clear reasons, even when the driver is not at fault. This creates stress and insecurity for those who rely on this work for their livelihood.

Despite being the reason the company earns, drivers receive little to no appreciation or support. Policies keep changing in ways that negatively impact drivers, and there’s no proper communication or understanding from the company’s side.

Uride needs to start treating drivers with respect, provide transparency in decisions, and create fair policies. Without drivers, this platform wouldn’t exist.

Great app for drivers

Easy to use, makes it simple to accept. Runs smoothly

Alot of downsides

Very low pay , not enough info. Of ride distance, literally 3 seconds to accept the ride or ride is gone , not enough rides , poor quality application .

Unfair and unreasonable recruitment team

The Uride recruitment team blocked my driver app simply because I didn’t complete “enough” trips. They told me my account would only be reactivated if I completed every single trip, even when pickups are extremely far, unsafe, or affected by traffic, road conditions, or unexpected trouble.
This policy is completely unfair and unrealistic. Drivers are treated like machines with no consideration for safety, distance, or real-life situations. Penalizing drivers for declining unreasonable trips shows a total lack of respect and understanding.
Instead of supporting drivers, the recruitment team uses threats and rigid rules to force compliance. Very poor communication, zero flexibility, and no concern for driver wellbeing.
Worst recruitment experience I’ve had. I do not recommend driving for Uride.

Drivers Are Not Paid Properly

Uride claims in its marketing that the company only takes 28% of the total fare paid by the customer and that the rest goes to drivers. However, in reality, drivers are often paid only about 50% per ride, which is completely misleading and unfair.
On top of that, drivers are required to carry $2 million insurance on their vehicles, which is very expensive and adds a heavy financial burden. Even worse, most of the TIPS added by customers are taken by the company, not passed fully to the drivers who actually earn them.
Drivers are not paid minimum wage when you factor in unpaid time, fuel, insurance, and vehicle maintenance. Uride also does not show the ride distance (km) before accepting a trip, only the payout amount is shown, so drivers can’t properly judge whether a ride is worth it.
Many pickups require driving long distances, and this pickup time and distance are not paid. Uride only calculates the hours of the actual trip, while waiting time between rides is completely unpaid.
Overall, these are very unfair and non-transparent practices, especially for a company that promotes itself as a “Canadian-owned company.” Drivers deserve honesty, transparency, and fair compensation and Uride is falling short on all of these.

5 YEARS IN! GREAT COMPANY AND A CEO WHO CARES

5 years ago today, I picked up my first Uride passenger on the day we launched in Peterborough, Ontario. Is the company perfect? What company is? But Uride is heads and tails above the competition. Drivers are paid higher commission rates and we get to work a schedule that fits our lifestyle and goals. As mentioned in my title, our CEO, Cody is a fantastic and energetic team leader who still drives passengers around even though he could probably be sitting on a beach somewhere. Our dispatchers respond quickly to our requests. Overall, Uride is a great rideshare company to be involved with. And the fact we are the fastest growing rideshare company in Canada proves that.

Garbage

Not worth it it’s not working properly , compared with other right chair is garbage

Unfair policies toward drivers

Uride claims its drivers are independent contractors, yet they punish people for promoting or working with other rideshare companies. That’s not how independent contracting works — it’s actually a serious violation of labour rights.

If a company wants to call drivers “independent,” they shouldn’t control who they can work for. This kind of policy shows a lack of fairness and transparency toward the people keeping the platform running.

Zero driver support

There is no one to contact for driver support. No explanation to pay discrepancies or anything. They just expect you to drive and receive whatever money you see not what you earned
