Why only allot 10 numbers to allow??
The Call Filter blocks a lot of good numbers, including my customers in my default iPhone Contacts app and even the local hospital’s emergency department which tried to reach me, but Verizon only allows you to have 10 numbers in your “allowed numbers list“ within their app!! There should be no limit on this! Also, numbers in my Contacts should not be sent straight to voicemail as spam.

Free option locks call blocking on iPhone
The basic app does absolutely nothing but adds another layer to report spam but doesn’t prevent them from coming in. Now I’m blocked from blocking callers unless I upgrade to the paid version. Yeah screw that!

I just got a call with 147 prior ratings as spam. I’m set to the highest protection and it still rang through.

Why does Verizon think it should charge customers, who are already overpaying for awful service, an extra fee to do what this massive corporation can and should be doing automatically: zapping scammers like mosquitoes.

Does not actually filter calls or block voice mails
This does not actually work. Most scammers now use toll free numbers which Verizon has no intention of doing anything other than facilitating. Some numbers reported have over 1000 reports but they let them through even with all settings at your most strict. Do not waste the memory on your phone. Find a new provider actually interested in providing solutions.

Blocks saved contacts
I deleted this app because it kept blocking calls on my contact list. Tried it again and it did the same thing and it only lets you allow a handful of numbers.
I went try it again. It’s about consistent with the service we seem to get from Verizon — very poor!!!!!

I love Verizon! The call filter app is also essential. Keeps me protected from unknown callers; I can allow or block calls, and it adds extra security by blocking certain callers from contacting me at my fingertips.

This app has been a life saver. Say goodbye to unwanted spam callers that borders on harassment. I was getting multiple calls a day from various numbers, always different area coded and once I started using this, they have disappeared. Fantastic app.
