Terrible update

Updated the app today. Initially did not work. Had to deleted and reinstalled the app. This allowed it to work. No push notification and they made the font for changing code much smaller. I swear that IT wants to make the user experience as terrible as possible.

LiveID is hilariously bad.

The red box looking for my face during the LiveID scan is, no matter how hard I try, never on my face. I have done EVERYTHING, and have spent hours trying to get this to work. As I look through reviews, people are saying the same thing from as far back as three years prior to this review, and it’s still a defiant arsehole of a red box that avoids faces. Minus stars. Negative stars. I am inches away from just killing all of my Verizon phone plans as a pointless but self-satisfying protest of this app, and the fact that Verizon has clearly made zero effort to fix the bugs that have been well-defined for years.

Doesn’t work

I’ve tried all the steps multiple times. It can take many tries for it to register and seems to register when you aren’t holding your documents right. After a couple of hours I got it to finally can my DL and Passport but it says the names don’t match even though they are exactly the same. Will be doing the paper authentication with a notary. This is just terrible.

Harmful application

So much about this application does not work. Somehow, Verizon was able to get my employer to require this application which does not work, and therefore I cannot prescribe controlled substances which causes issues with patient care. Verizon is not helpful. Their alternative to this application requires hiring a notary to be “on-call“ for when they are ready to verify your identity.

Having the same issue as the user above. Won’t recognize my face for LiveID and can’t use other features without it.

App is glitchy and nowhere to contact support

Download this app and tried live ID and it did not work. Finally a blurry movement made it work?!

Next scanned my passport ok, but when it get to diver license it did not work. Whoever develop this is a poor software developer.

Horrible

I was asked to use this for work. I cannot get it to accept a live ID. It keeps saying "Update User failed. Something went wrong. Please try again later." It probably has to do with the red box being off center to left when it asks me to take a picture. I get prompts to blink and it takes a picture of me with my eyes closed. I've tried deleting and reinstalling, taking over 20 attempts to scan a Live ID. Same result. tried looking online for solutions, contacting app however it says I need login to contact them and I can't even register. Would love some assistance if anyone is reading this.

Not working

The app doesn’t work. Doesn’t read driver license, gives server errors and can’t even recognize Face ID. Basically you can’t use it for the purpose it is created.

Have to have a passport

Dude what year is this, 1955? This app REQUIRES a passport to verify you. Not even the irs does that any more. Other security apps use the credit bureaus, other documents, or such. They don’t make you get a useless passport. Waste of time and data to even download.

the Passport is not mandatory unless you have a requirements to be at IAL2 level of Identity. The IRS use of credit bureaus data can be spoofed and is in fact a large part of the identity fraud that the states have experiences in the last couple of years with unemployment fraud and COVID relief costing Billions. Yes other documents can be brought into use but many of those can easily be spoofed.

I downloaded this app 4x on 4 different phones, 2 iOS and 2 Android. All of them could not scan my face for LiveID. The same error message kept popping up (update user failed: something went wrong. Please try again later). Spent a whole day retaking photos and couldn’t get it to work.

Totally not doing what it should.

It read the Drivers license OK but then it said the passport did not match. No one can see any discrepancy. I downloaded the app today so it is up to date. It will not say what does not match either. It should not be used for the important things it is used for.

Managed user was installed - remotely without my consent or knowledge.

Given that I am not a student, nor am I currently employed, Apple's odd new Business or Education manager should not
apply to me.
This, Apple's own, program should not give anyone the ability to REMOTELY enroll, sans permission, any persons iPhone into a managed device program.
Read the literature and weep.
If one is in a major metro city, perhaps removing the shackles is easy.
Combine rural with a husband that grows increasingly frightening, this allowed or accepted where I now reside...

Scanning Feature is Junk

I was excited to use this powerful app! I’ve tried for almost a year now and it will NOT accept my LiveID!!! When it tries to scan my face there’s a red box that pops up on the screen. Then the box just jumps around the screen, mostly nowhere near my face.

I can’t use the entirety of this seemingly awesome app because there are functions that require LiveID to be completed. But... I can’t! Super frustrating.

Same problem with passport scanning

Scanned with DL fine and received a “not match” error with my passport. Unfortunately the PP enrolling is a prerequisite for security questions so no luck for the utility of this app.

We're sorry to hear that you had a problem with the scanning of your passport. Please make sure that your first and last name, date of birth, and country match your driver's license exactly. Any miss-match will cause the match to fail. This is required to comply with the NIST standards for IAL assurance requirements for authentication to be deterministic and not probabilistic. If all of those fields are the same, please try the newest version of the app as we are constantly improving. Please note that facial hair and large age disparities between pictures can affect the matching.

This is great ! Very easy to use ... I could download the app and go from a level 1 account to a level 3 account with a trust score of 14 in a few minutes ...

Junk

It scanned my drivers license just fine and found my name and picture. When I try to scan my passport it says it doesn’t match my drivers license. I’ve tried 30 times with different backgrounds and lighting. Hello?! It’s still me on the passport!!
