Crashes

App crashes when I try to open..

Broken

It won’t open. it doesn’t work. therefore, it is ineffective.

App doesn’t work

App needs to be fixed. Immediately closes and doesn’t work. Even after update yesterday . Please fix!!

As of today 9/7/26 The app immediately closes so I can’t “report a bug” within the app.

Broken spam filter and cluttered interfaces.

I don’t care about any of the other services Verizon is offering with this app. All I care about is the spam filter, and the fact that I have to download an app with a ton of worthless services just to get the spam filter is annoying. If you are using an iPhone, all of the services Verizon offers are a waste of money, minus the spam filter. The spam filter is the only one that is worth money.

Edit: I seen the developer response, and if the developers and Verizon want to truly help me, then don’t force me to use this app and let me keep the old spam filter app. This app is annoyingly complicated, requires more tapping just to report numbers, and I can’t see the old statistics that the old app used to show.

Overall, this app is a considerable downgrade from the spam filter app. Ever since using this app, spam calls have increased because there is no easy way to block phone numbers anymore. The swipe to report spam phone numbers in the Phone app no longer links back to the spam filter app.

Because Verizon broke spam filtering, I have downgraded to the free membership because some protection even broken protection from spam calls is better than none.

Honestly, Verizon breaking spam filtering is enough to push me to t-mobile. After I pay off my phone I am dropping Verizon.

Call filter broken

Verizon Call filter app now redirects to this app but this app does not show any call filter options making it completely useless.

Won’t open

App was installed, seemed to work. Now after recent update it won’t open, prevents phone from connecting and using data. Shows VPN is trying to connect non stop. Try to open app to refresh vpn profile and instead app just opens briefly then closes. Opens and closes, leaving me stuck with no data connection. After jumping around settings on iPhone I can finally use data. App apparently just became a useless data blocking app.

Too bloated for free service.

Call Filter was better.

Why did u change it

I am trying to add a number and now it won't let me. Deleting this app cause it don't work. It blocks the wrong numbers

Call Filter Options not available

This shows that the call filter options are available but I don’t see them. I’m prompted to enroll in a plan but none of the plans mention that as an option. I can’t use the old app any longer.

Where is teh call filtering?

Verizon Call Filter app is telling me to download this to continue filtering. But there is no call filtering function visible in this app. There is a secure VPN, but I CANNOT USE VERIZON’S VPN ON MY WORK PHONE. Don’t ask me to defeat our corporate security practices.

Doesn’t work

Update: 8/27/2026
The app does not stay connected on the WiFi kept going in and out.

Not working. Keep saying try again since last update

Notifications need date & timestamp

Since I don't use/look at my phone much due to work restrictions on personal devices having to remain offsite, the notifications are completely useless without a date & timestamp. Please add date & timestamp for notifications. It helps piece potential risks better with what may have triggered the notification. Otherwise we're just asking for repeat risks which usually leads to increased likelihood for identity theft.

Call Filter Experience Downgrade

Having to open an app made for multiple things I’m not interested in with additional terms and services is additional burden for a service that was useful.

Now the feature itself has been degraded again. If you attempt to copy-paste the number from your phone including the country code it will not work. So you’re forced to either copy it elsewhere and remove the country code or manually type it between the app switcher. With robo calls on the rise, having added friction from a paid service doesn’t help.

What a mess!

Now that they merged Call Filter into protect it is very confusing and difficult to use! Big mistake Verizon! Been on fence to get TMobile and this mess decided that for me!

Useless

I still get 5-10 personal loan scammers calling all day, but two calls from my vet to let me know my sixteen year old dog survived his surgery and is ready to be picked up? No, THAT’S what the call that gets blocked. Absolutely useless app.

2nd review after being contacted by support.

Customer support reached out after my first review. Their responses have basically been to adjust my settings (to what they were already set to) and to manually report my spam calls through their portal which takes minutes per spam call (I get up to 10 spam calls per day).

Manually reporting my spam calls has yielded no results and is a waste of my time. I also already flag and report EVERY spam call through the phone app, so it seems like it SHOULD be redundant.

Tldr App is still pointless after being contacted by the devs.

Where’s Call Filter

Don’t see Call Filter feature at all. Forced to download bloatware when they took away Call Filter app.

Recently lots of negative reviews. Verizon auto-reply by making you send them an email. App overall stays 4.7 stars despite all the one star reviews.

App has become intrusive

Now since update, the app is taking me through a “self assessment” before I can use it. The assessment includes questions such as how often I update my pc. That is NONE of Verizon’s $&@% business! And has Nothing to do with my phone protection! I am left with the impression that the app was redesigned to obtain users information.

Still doesn’t filter calls

This still doesn’t filter calls and it’s now harder to report and block numbers. I continue to get sdk api not authenticated with the back end errors when trying to report numbers. Why on earth do I need to give permissions to send me notifications to just filter obvious spam calls?
