Unsafe workplace and Waste of time

If you ever drive for uber or DoorDash, this company is 100 times worse than them.
1. The rental keeps charging you when you are on break. The sign up process is absurd. In the name of orientation we got handed over paper pamphlets which only describe how to do the rides but they never explain how to start the shift, take breaks or end shift! What are the rules regarding renting zip cars!!! Most of the rental cars are having roaches and they don’t do anything about it when you complaint.
2. The field manager Robert said because of good drivers and excellent service from the driver partners the Sarasota county extended their contract and Sarasota project has become their flagship project to showcase to other counties to get more government contracts but drivers who worked with via from the beginning get paid less now. Yes, the pay has gone from $20+ and to $16/hr. What kind of appreciation is this ! And upon asking fare wages, Robert straight up said that you find another job If they are paying better.
3. The rental cars are so dirty and maintenance is zero to none. No proper clean up. They would charge you over the market price for the car but the cars are way past their scheduled maintenance. Especially the tires are so bad that it is unsafe to drive those cars.
4. Customers support is zero to none. No one knows what to resolve and every time it ends up at we will let the operation team aware of the issue. But the issue might never get resolved, as escalation team or operation team also unaware of proper resolution.
5. The $3 fare will attract all kind of passengers. So your safety is way less than compare to Lyft or uber passengers ride where premium passengers are. Forget extra tips, expect hostile and rude and unsafe work environments from passengers and customers care people. They would never ban a problematic passenger and unlike Uber or Lyft you do not have options to cancel their rides.
6. Expect working as a an employee without having independence of taking free breaks(because they keep charging you rental while you are on break, canceling shifts, canceling ride, or have a safe and courteous work environment. But you get to paid independent contractors so there is approximately 15% tax on your wages which brings you to less than minimum wage.

Never work or waste your time for this company. You can find much better options in the job market.

Driver safety

As a driver, I feel like Gozone does not take driver safety or driver support seriously enough. Many passengers claim they are using a pass as payment, but most of the time they either don’t have one or try to avoid paying properly. Drivers are often put in uncomfortable situations dealing with homeless individuals, passengers with dogs, school students misusing accounts, and people showing bad behavior.

There are times when, out of fear for my own safety, I still give rides because you never know how someone might react over a $1.50 fare. I don’t want drivers to feel unsafe or pressured just to avoid conflict. Another issue is adults using kids’ accounts to pay only $0.75 for rides, which is unfair and easily abused.

Gozone also does a poor job educating passengers on how the service actually works. Many people think it operates like Uber or Lyft, when in reality it is a corner-to-corner pickup and drop-off service. Even after explaining this politely to passengers multiple times, some still call drivers arrogantly demanding pickup directly from their house or office.

On top of that, even after driving long shifts — sometimes up to 10 hours — drivers don’t receive proper paid breaks or enough support. The company really needs stricter verification, better rider education, stronger rider accountability, fair treatment for drivers, and more focus on driver safety.

Terrible syste

Need a better system

Worst app ever

Clicking help closes the app; taking a screenshot takes you to an error report; information like pickup times changes during trips; can’t access important information; call button doesn’t call the caregiver, it calls a non-working number… about the only thing that works is the confirmation code comes immediately.

Oh, and i can’t even schedule new rides for next week!
