Terrible Malware
This app works every other time (if that) you try to open your door and also some how was granted a TTPOI entitlement that uses the same frequency as ApplePay requests so it opens your digital wallet unprompted. Seems more like malware than a key to your building. Apple developers should really investigate this before some hacks the door readers and steals peoples card information.

Terrible app
makes me forget that we are literally in the year 2026 where multiple acceptable frameworks for this type of service already exist and there’s robots and everything. If this app were made by a robot, it might have actually worked. I haven’t gone one day without being frustrated. Terrible app

Locked out of my room in a robe and a towel in my hair because the key decided not to work
Lacks features, but it works (mostly).
Since I know that my University just started using this, there are a few things you should know about the current version (6.5.2):
- Does not support adding virtual keys to Apple Wallet, and the app has no compatible Apple Watch version.
- No in-app utilization of an account password or biometrics (e.g., FaceID). The app literally just opens with a tap after you register. Great for convenience, terrible for security. Since the address the keys are used at and what doors they open is unprotected information, and no confirmation is necessary to use your keys, your keys are only as secure as your phone is.
- Barebones UI. Again, great for convenience and reducing points of failure, but it does not really “look” trustworthy, or like an app used by multimillion-dollar property managers. Also, there is no real indication that the app is working; okay if it works right away (door unlocks), but makes it difficult to identify points of failure if it doesn’t.
It does the job that it was designed to do, most of the time. But, if it is replacing physical keys or fobs, it has to work every time, all of the time. Two-star review because it meets my expectations (for my University), but falls short of the seamless experience that many other virtual/digital key service providers achieve across the hospitality and automotive industries.

Doesn’t work.
Had to install this for my dorm at college, already decided to break and lock me out of my room in less then three hours of moving in.
