Worst Bank App Ever
This is the worst banking app that I have ever encountered and have.
All you can do is check your balance and deposit checks.
No ability to make transfers from it or schedule transfers! In order to do so; you have to go on their complicated website.
This bank is where I has most of my savings and it is horrible.
I also use Happen Bank, UFB, Goldman Sachs and Citi for online savings…they all have great and accommodating Apps!

The App needs updating on functionality, visual and navigation needs serious improvement.
The mobile app looks like it was designed 10 years ago. Please go and check out other banking app. There are too many: lack of direction, lack of function like Transfer Funds to Outside Personal Banks. You can do better and you will get more Customers.
Crashes, limited functionality
The app is crashing every time I try to log in now.
There is really nothing you are able to do in this app aside from view your accounts. It is too simple and most options are grayed out for me. Everything else needs to be done via desktop. This app having such a high rating is suspicious.

Do not recommend
Terrible app and a terrible bank. Custom service had zero idea what they were doing. Cannot recommend at all.
Ok but not as good as most bank apps
App overall is ok. You can easily deposit a check. However, you can not transfer from your external bank account into your Vio account which is a pain as every payday I move money into my Vio account. You must make these transfers on the web.
Not user friendly
To put it simply, the app sucks. It’s not user friendly whatsoever. They to do a major updates with it. It’s a financial app so I wasn’t expecting much but oh my goodness it sucks. The website is just easier to navigate than the app which is so disappointing.

App keeps crashing
Every time I try to log into the app on my ipad, it immediately crashes. I have no way to access my money because Vio is too cheap to pay someone to create an app that works.
Worthless app
So bad! After opening with 50k it took two weeks for three amount to even be recognized as having been transferred in. Oh, that’s not terrifying! Activity thereafter shows only what you have, not what the interest rate is, no other information about the account. Huh? I’m not confident this was the best choice for me. I hope I didn’t just lose 50k by trusting BankRate. How about some interactivity? How about show me some of your other products in case I want to move things around? Supposedly I have a great rate BUT I HAVE NO IDEA BECAUSE IT SHOWS NOTHING.

Stopped Working on iPad Pro
Cannot understand why but no longer works on my iPad Pro despite it working on my iPhone. Reinstalling has not helped, and user ID and password are correct. No assistance from Vio despite attempts to contact them.

I’m not happy. After researching which online back to use. I opened an account with Vio, but after realizing I can’t do a simple function like transfer money using this app, I’m going to look into another bank. I wish I would have realized this before hand. Maybe I can save someone the same frustration because according to these reviews they aren’t changing it! You’ve been warned:)

App needs work
Of all my banking apps I feel like this is the worst. You really need to compare yourself to some of the other banks and make some upgrades.
Limited Function
Very limited usefulness. Can monitor balances and transaction history, but not able to initiate transfers to or from external funding accounts. This is essential for an online only savings account. Only can do that on website. If I have to go to the website anyway what is the point of the app? The website when accessed to make transfers does not display well on a mobile screen. Security seems adequate. Deleted app. Numerous complaints about lack of functions over a significant time period and all that happens is the canned response below. How about yes that is a critical function every one wants so we will be adding it in the next revision! More bad news, if you are traveling out of the US as I regularly do, their security system denies access. None of my other banks have this “security feature”. One bank I had used does not have an app but did have a fully functioning mobile friendly website- may be a better way for VIO to go. All positive reviews only cite the high interest rate paid. That is not what is being reviewed, you are rating the app and it is worthless! I said above I deleted the app not that I closed the account.

The app has very limited functionality beyond checking balances. Also, it now crashes every time you try to login.

the app doesn’t have many features available on the website. but the main issue for me is that it doesn’t work when i travel outside of US. How am I supposed to check my account or transfer my money when the app doesn’t work? it just shows authentication failed with no other clear message, eventually i figured out it was because i was in vietnam. I really don’t understand why, i just wanted to login to my account to do my banking.

App crashes when you select the help button. The app does nothing when I attempt to view my monthly statements.
