Paid but can’t add wines to cellar

I recently paid the subscription only to find that I can’t add bottles to my cellar. It’s added the wine to my cellar but adding the bottles only added a 3 to the cellar details icon, (and of course also lost price and location details that I input). When I tap the cellar details icon it wants me to add bottles again! I’m regretting paying the subscription now.

My wines list

I’ve been enjoying using Vivino to discover new wines. The label scanner, ratings, and tasting notes are excellent and make choosing a bottle much easier.

However, there’s one feature that I find frustrating. Every wine I scan is automatically added to My Wines, even if I only wanted to check its rating or tasting profile. As a result, my collection becomes cluttered with wines I never purchased or tasted.

I would really appreciate an option in Settings to disable automatic saving of scanned wines, or at least ask whether I want to save a wine after scanning it. Ideally, My Wines should only contain wines that I intentionally choose to add.

I believe this small change would make the app much more intuitive and would help users keep their collections clean and meaningful.

Thank you for creating such a great app, and I hope you’ll consider adding this option in a future update.

And it is liked I opened a brand new bottle and my friends thanked me.

Needs an update

I am now having issues removing bottles from my cellar. Can only remove all at one time

Not just in the label!

Stumped by what wine to buy? Let Vivino help you understand what wine to buy. Real people giving opinion about the winners they are drinking. You may not always agree but it definitely will take the fear away of trying something new enjoy! Cheers

Good tool for Novice Drinkers

This is a great tool to record and remember the various wines that I purchase. Overtime, I expect to have a list of my fav go to wines

Excelente app

Uso muito, é muito útil quando não conhecemos determinado vinho ou não sabemos se o preço está razoável ou não. Uso muito!

Response from developer

É incrível saber que a ferramenta tem sido tão útil para você na hora de escolher vinhos e avaliar preços. Agradecemos por dividir sua experiência e ficamos felizes em saber que você a utiliza com frequência!

Don’t take us for granted!

Hi Vivino
It’s easy for you to see I’m a regular user. I regularly recommend your app and have had no problem with the past push advertising.

Please don’t forget I am the product, like everyone else. Without us you have no product.

Please don’t take us for granted by the ridiculous pop ups for candy crush etc. I will reluctantly leave Vivino if you continue to chase new revenue as you have over the last few weeks.

Very disappointing

Used to be great only average now

Used to be a fantastic app, but once they went to 100% crowd sourced
reviews is now only average.

Getting better, but still not good…

This app was previously best in class. It had everything I could possibly want. But then the developers started mucking around with it, and it became completely unusable. To their credit, they acknowledged my previous review and made some changes. It’s getting better, but it’s still not good…
What I really want is an app that tells me exactly what I wrote about it: My star rating, review, where I tried it, when, and the info that I put in the notes section. Then I know exactly where I had it, the occasion, what it tasted like, and how I liked it. Very simple. For a while, all of that information disappeared. Now my star rating and review are back, but I can’t figure out where and when I tried it, who I drank it with, or the occasion (all of which is in the notes). So now I at least know how I rated it, but having the context is the most important part for me. I can vaguely understand “tastes like blackberry”, but if I read “I drank this on my 10th anniversary at 4 Seasons,” I can place every detail. PLEASE bring back this functionality!!

Worst than Sonos S2 which got its CEO fired

opened the app and was forced to upgrade to Premium since I had more than... 20 bottles. Who uses an app for 20 bottles!?! So I did purchase the upgrade. And then, the new app does not work. It can't register new bottles properly displaying error messages and asking to retry. It does not memorize comments or pricing you add, and most of all it shows no way to delete bottles on those new entries (only the old ones you already had on the previous app that worked!). Whoever is at the helm of this should be fired. But I no longer care. Switching to the actual best app which is Cellar Tracker. It is worth the trouble to re-enter my entire inventory. I encourage everyone to ditch Vivino which basically lurred millions of user of "basic" functions for free, and overnight now allows only a max of 20 bottles. Nice way to steal some 4MM$ annually from their user base without warning. Greed has found a new leader. Send the right message: Ditch them!!

So so…be careful with dynamic pricing

I recently purchased some wine based on the price per bottle shown on the page and was charged when I added the credit card payment more as the vendor was switched at the last minute to another vendor with a higher price. When I enquired as to why, they responded that I was moved to a vendor who could complete my order and who had a higher price. The price shown was the lowest available at the time. Ridiculous.

The best app for wines

Been using it for years and I love it. My entire wine cellar and history is in it. Awesome app.

Great App to have in Europe!

Loved Vivino for the last 10 years we lived in Germany. Especially helpful when going to a hyper Marché in France where you can see several hundred bottles of wine.
