About

Most nutrition apps count four things: calories, protein, carbs and fat. Your body runs on more than that. Vylo reads all 32 nutrients from the food you already log, so the gaps show up without you entering anything twice. Iron, magnesium, folate, vitamin D, selenium, and twenty-seven others. BEYOND CALORIES Log a meal and Vylo fills in the whole picture. Every food carries its full panel, not just the headline numbers. Open any item and you can see each vitamin and mineral it contributes. Your targets are calculated from your own age, height, weight, activity and goal, then recalculated as those change. Micronutrients have their own targets, and the eleven with upper limits are watched too, so you can see when you have gone past one. LOG IT HOWEVER SUITS YOU Search food names in English or Arabic. Scan a barcode. Photograph the plate and let Vylo build the meal. Save meals you eat often. Or type the numbers in yourself. The photo scan asks before it guesses. Tell it how the fish was cooked or how much oil went in, and it factors that in rather than assuming. It also tells you how confident it is, separately for what it recognised and for how much it thinks was there. THE FOOD ACTUALLY IN YOUR KITCHEN Pasta, fried chicken, oats, eggs, sandwiches, curry, salads, and the packaged things you scan on the way past. Vylo covers the way people eat on an ordinary week, not just the clean-eating version of it. Each food carries its own nutrition panel, and most come in the versions people actually eat, so you are not picking between one generic entry and nothing. It also has the food most trackers quietly leave out. Machboos, harees, foul medames, mandi, shish tawook, shawarma, biryani, tabbouleh, luqaimat, karak tea, each in Vylo as a dish in its own right rather than stood in for by whatever western food looked closest. Machboos with fish is not filed under machboos with chicken. Many show the components they are built from, so you can see at a glance that the plate is rice, chicken and onion, and pick the portion that matches the one in front of you. WRITTEN FOR YOU, NOT TEMPLATED Vylo reads your day and tells you what it sees, in sentences. What you are short on, what you are doing well, and one thing worth eating next. It is written from your own log every time. PROGRESS YOU CAN READ Weight wanders day to day. Vylo draws the trend through the noise so you can tell a real direction from a heavy dinner. Nutrition trends run alongside it, and a weekly report pulls the whole week together. Streaks and ranks are there if they help. A day counts once you have logged about a third of your target, because a plan you can keep beats a plan you break. BUILT AROUND HOW YOUR WEEK ACTUALLY RUNS Spend one weekly calorie budget across the days rather than eating identically every day. A bigger training day, funded by two lighter ones. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS Where a nutrient value is not in the data, Vylo says "not available". It never fills the gap with a guess. Photo scans are estimates, and the app says so; logging by hand is always more accurate. YOUR DATA Your food log, weight history and saved meals are tied to your account, so a new phone picks up where the old one left off. You can export everything, and you can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app. FREE AND PRO The calorie and macro plan is free. That includes logging, barcode scanning, your targets and your weight history. New accounts also pick one micronutrient to follow in full for a week. Pro opens all 32 micronutrients, the photo scanner, the written insights, the weekly report and export, and the weekly calorie budget. Vylo is a nutrition tracker. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. What's New in Vylo

1.1

September 25, 2026

Five more restaurant menus, straight from the chains' own published nutrition: KFC, Burger King, Texas Chicken, Pizza Hut and McDonald's. Over 130 items. Build a pizza the way you actually order it: pick pan or stuffed crust, pick the size, and the nutrition follows. Meals now show what's inside them. Remove the cheese from a burger, or the sauce from a wrap, and the numbers update. Removing something from your log is now a button on the food, not a hidden swipe. Plus a goal calculator, and a faster, tidier search. Fixed: search could suddenly throw you back to the home screen. It was a notification you'd tapped earlier being remembered and acted on again.
