Dog walkers be warned..
Dog walkers: just so you know, this company will not pay you if you get bit and can’t finish the job as a result of an incident. You will not get paid for your time and gas getting to a job and as such, they encourage you to not report the incident.
Terrible Support - Non Functioning App
App Functionality is very poor. Was able to book appointments but not chat with confirmed provider. Allegedly, per support, despite the ONLY function not working being chat - based on my years ago data deletion request - my issue was not fixable. Not going to reestablish a new email ID just to make it easy for WAG to work. This made the app worthless and will switch to Rover which has much less “friction”.

No communication and no one came to walk her. Please return payment as this is the 3 rd time when no one has shown up to walk her.

Test walk in different state
I just got my profile and see a test walk in Alaska when I live in Washington State. I messaged with the help chat and it gave me a bunch of suggestions that did help the issue at all and wouldn’t listen when we responded with feedback after its suggestions.
Wag stole $80 from me, denied it then deactivated my account! AVOID THIS APP ⚠️
I have the bank records to prove it.
The place we found an AMAZING overnight sitter…
I was in a “no sitter” situation for my dog at the last minute and I found Kara who was absolutely incredible!
I love how easy the app is to use and the ability to get updates and several choices when looking so you can do the picking… but if you want WAG to pick the all will do that too. Payment process was seamless and I will absolutely use my last sitter again!

I had good experience with wag. I used Wag in the summer at a time when many dog sitter were busy and not accepting new dogs. I was able to find a great family to board my dog. I would definitely use it again.

First impressions are everything when it comes to taken care of someone’s fur baby and for my first time using the app today in a crunch, as I am traveling out of the country, I am very pleased to say that the experience exceeded my expectation, and I will definitely be a frequent user of Wag!. Horrible app, constantly trying to upgrade you to pay extra literally every thing you click on. Also won’t let you cancel mistakes even if you hit cancel 20 seconds later

Reliable dog walker
Jacob has walked our three dogs for over a year. He is very loving, reliable and loving with the dogs.
No customer support
Wag cancelled my dog sitting booking even though my sitter and I were messaging. This caused my dogs to not have care& no notification was given stating why or who cancelled. My messages with the sitter were deleted as they were connected to the sitting. I have reached out to the “email” as that’s the only option. No one will call me to discuss this huge mistake on their end & im completely dissatisfied with the response time. No accountability on their end. Mind you they canceled at 9 pm and I had to find other care.

Buyer Beware
I’ve used Wag multiple times with good experiences, but my recent pet sitting experience was extremely disappointing. The caregiver provided very little communication, did not follow important care instructions, and I had serious concerns about whether my dog was receiving adequate care while I was away.
What has been even more frustrating is Wag’s customer support. I reported the issue, was contacted to schedule a follow-up call, provided my availability, and then received no response despite multiple follow-ups and their stated response timeframe.
When you trust a company with your pet, you need confidence that both the caregivers and the support team will be there when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously impacted my trust in Wag.
