another bs subscription app.

dude is it just me or is anyone else so tired of every single app making you spend 8+ dollars a month on their program? genuinley its a plague where every single app on the app store (exept games) require somewhere around 15 dollars a month to use. and even games have subscriptions for no ads!! i am so tired of it. i am constantly having to unsubscribe to one and subscribe to another app's subscription because i am not a millionare. i wish for once i could just use an app that didnt have to shove a paywall in my face to use. perhaps im being vitriolic, but im genuinely so tired of this subscription epidemic. i think the only app i have on my phone that doesnt shove a subscription in your face is "real" app. and that one has a subscription too, but atleast for now it is more free then not. im sory, but i will write a 1 star reveiw. not because ts app is bad, but just because im tired. actually im biased but im not thatt biased i will do 2 stars. do better app creators.

Scam structure, didn’t reveal the cost of the services until very end

I absolutely cannot stand when apps take the consumer through several long steps of set up and profile building just to reveal that there is no free option in order to use the app. It is not hard to put the cost of the app right in the App Store instead of scamming people into making an account when they didn’t even know the cost! Very annoying, 1 star

actually helpful

got this app & the free trial randomly & it actually is helpful. it seems like its definitely worth the investment. the app genuinely wants to help you improve. The insights & different avenues they “judge” you on are extremely detailed and informative. If I had the money I’d absolutely continue to

How it’s been going

I honestly just started yesterday, but I’m really enjoying it. I don’t feel rushed or judged at all. Things are going pretty smooth and hopefully I started to improve on my speech soon.

Fake free trial

The app offered me a second 7day free trial. I went along with it, and was charged the full year. Apple has refused to refund me. I feel scammed :(

Pulls you in

This app is great at two things. One, helping you learn by focusing on the areas you need to improve. And two, showing you your progress over time.

Been using it for 14 days straight now and it’s easily becoming part of my morning routine. Very helpful

I feel like a better speaker overall. And way more confident in on-the-spot situations

Long setup just for paywall.

Just tried out the app, it gave me a long setup process just to give me a trial paywall. Not free at all.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Fair point on wanting the price up front, and we're working on surfacing it earlier in the setup. Worth knowing though: the full curriculum, every course and lesson, is free, along with 5 practice sessions a month. The only paid feature is Echo, our live AI voice coach, since it costs us money each time it runs. The setup questions are there to tailor the training to your goals, not to gate a price. Stole my money

I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription for these guys after starting a free trial and them trying to take out £89.99 from my bank! I couldn’t find it in my subscriptions, so I thought it was done. Then this scamming app has took all my
money and I just want a refund, I don’t use the app and now I’ve been denied a refund of my own money? They didn’t even let me cancel the trial period because I couldn’t find it in my subscriptions area! This is a scam do not start the trial!?

Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple, not us directly, so the fastest route is reportaproblem.apple.com: sign in with your Apple ID, select the charge, and submit a refund request. If it's denied or you hit a wall, email support@wellspoken.me with the details and we'll do everything we can on our end to help get it sorted. We don't want you paying for something you're not using.

Where is articulation practice

If the app is called an articulation app, where is the actual articulation improvement feature? It seems to focus more on English, vocabulary, and general communication skills.

Day 1

Wellspoken is an innovative app, but it doesn’t replace a professional speech coach. I appreciate the detail feedback the app provides because it shows me exactly where I need to improve. But if an app user doesn’t know how to apply what the app is advising long-term improvement most likely will not occur. However, a live speaking coach can explain and demonstrates how to utilize on a personal level by building on your skillset rather than a generalized skillset. So, if you want exponential and long term growth hire a speaking coach as well as the app.

Love it!

Really slick app. Well though out and the delivery of feedback is a good balance of analytics and practical advice. Already noticed a difference in my day to day yapping and colleagues have picked up on it aswell!

Shady charging habits

One of those apps where if you sign up for a membership and don’t have enough money on the billing date they force you to keep the membership and credit a debt on your Apple account instead of just ending the premium membership.

How many unnecessary text and screens should I go through to get to the app?

One of the worst user experiences I encountered. I lost count of how many overly verbose screens I had to tap through. After 5 mins of setting up my profile and finally starting the lessons I gave up as it clearly can’t teach you clarity if the app itself can’t be concise and clear. And the prompt questions for speaking aren’t good.
