Good
Video sometimes works sometimes just a blue screen, but you can open the door, which is good.
It would be amazing if you could use it in CarPlay, so you could open door from the car instead of grabbing the phone and looking for app.
Also maybe geolocation - send F1 when your close to your gate?

Useful. Needs a few tweaks.
You’ll need to buy the WI-BOX which is a small module that sits next to your existing VDS monitor. It’s a bit fiddly to install. It does not need an external power source.
The app works reasonably well. It allows you to see and speak to visitors and open the door remotely when using WiFi or a mobile signal. The video in the app is much better quality than the video received on the hard wired monitor in the house.
You are alerted to a call by a notification and tone on your phone. The tone should be longer and louder and there’s no way to change this.
When you answer the notification, the app takes a while to open and establish a video connection. The delay is ok but should really be shorter.
You use a PIN to open the door but they app keypad is a bit small meaning it’s easy to enter the wrong PIN.
If you try to use the hard wired monitor whilst the app is still trying to establish a video connection both the monitor and the app freeze meaning you cannot unlock the door.
In theory you could leave your front door key at home (eg if out jogging) and let yourself in using the app on your phone. I’d need to test this for reliability before I was confident to do this.
This is a good first start and a welcome addition to the Fermax VDS monitor.
